HSG Test

I'm going for a HSG test tomorrow and I'm a little nervous on what its going to be like, could anyone whose had this done please shed a little light please?

Is it painful?
Can i continue TTC after the test in the same cycle?
Should i take pain relief before the test?

I had mine in June. Definitely take painkillers before you go. Mine wasn't a great experience and I wish I'd taken stronger drugs! But the doctor was very kind and they did explain to me after what they saw.
I'd already ovulated (probably that day) so we resumed dtd when I felt ready.
I was a bit sore and crampy after for a day or two but otherwise OK. I used a heat bag to help with cramps.
My period came a couple of days earlier and was lighter than usual.

I did conceive a couple of cycles later but had a mmc (nothing to do with the hsg though!)
