Random cycle. Thoughts please?

Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what I have been experiencing?
My last period was 20-22nd September. It was unusually light. I did a HTP just to check I wasn't pregnant and I got a BFN. A few days after this (around CD6) I noticed a small amount of EWCM and had a few left sided twinges (usually ovulation symptoms for me but this is very early in my cycle). My husband also commented on my spotty face which is unusual for me! I use digital OPKs and usually ovulate around CD 11-14. On CD 13 I was surprised to see my knickers were stained brown. When I went the loo I had more brown stuff coming out. This happened for about 3 days and sometimes I had discharge with brown streaks running through (sorry TMI!!).
I have been using my digital OPKS as normal and am now on CD17. My OPKs keep showing as low.
This is such an odd month I haven't had anything like this before. Has anyone else?

@Talulala I am not to sure what it could be except maybe because of your lighter period it's some 'left over' bleeding that has taken a little longer to find it's way out.

I've had a really unusual cycle which was 45 days, I've been very spotty for the middle of it and all my pregnancy tests have been BFN. I've just had my AF and it's like you described, very light and brown discharge. I think maybe I didn't ovulate but I'm not too sure what's happening.

Hi @Talulala I'm not sure if this is at all useful but something similar happened to me last cycle. Flashing smileys on Clearblue CD10 and 11 (quite typical) then brown discharge on CD 12 that got heavier then like normal AF so I counted that as CD1. I noticed I was spotty too and I never get spots. This cycle was only 23 days and I never got past flashing smileys but temps would indicate ovulation around CD10. Spots have all cleared up so I'm hoping it was just one of those one off weird cycles- even though I've never had it before.

Have you asked to see GP? Might be worth some blood tests

Thanks ladies. I did see my GP after my period was so weird. I was told to book in at reception for a blood test (the 7 days after ovulation one). I booked in and realised the GP didn't even ask me the date of my last period so I thought it a bit odd she told me to book in for a blood test on a certain day. Tbh, she just seemed to want to get me out of the door :( I booked in for a test but I am having to keep pushing it back due to the negative opks. I know these aren't a totally reliable way of finding out of you have ovulated but I am not really unsure of what to do. Do I go for my blood test knowing I probably never ovulated? I'd ring the GP again but last time I got a call back from one of the doctors they pretty much put the phone down one me in an attempt to end the call. They must've given me about 2 minutes of their time. They just don't seem to want to listen.

It's so frustrating! They couldn't give me a GP appointment for over four weeks- that's Friday this week and I'm considering cancelling as I'm not expecting much ☹️

It's really bad. I haven't bothered with the GP for years as I know what they are like. I am almost running out of OPKs now. Going to give it a few more days then try again next month.

Have you tried temping? I got an Ava bracelet in August and I find it really useful. Very expensive but I can give you my £20 discount code if you decide to get one. It confirmed a biphasic pattern for me last cycle even though opks we're off so I felt reassured

I thought about it but I'm not a good candidate for it. I toss and turn a lot i the night so I doubt my readings would be accurate. Will look into Ava- thanks

Started getting cramps in my lower abdomen today. Still have the odd bit of brown-tinged discharge. Getting a bit worried now as this is out-of-the-ordinary for me. Going to give it a few days to see if it turns into a full-blown period. If not, it's another trip to the GP :(
