So, has any one had this before and did it turn out to be a BFP? I had my positive opk back a few days ago, it then gradually got lighter, then suddenly since yesterday I've had positive opks - taken 3 since last night and all have gotten darker and darker! Much darker than the control line. I know I O'd already as I also temp. Any thoughts?

I've had a positive opk when pg but it seems quite early for it to show up, I was told that if it shows on an opk then it would show on a hcg test. Fingers crossed for you it is a very early positive.

I'm also 6dpo and resisting the urge to pee on anything.

Help1983uk · 03/10/2019 22:36

@Flossylou yeah I was thinking it's too early to show anything. I had a chemical in my last cycle, so maybe it's messed up my month up. I don't think it's anything left though as everything went negative after my period.
Oh that's exciting that we're both at the same point! Maybe we could symptom spot together

Flossylou · 03/10/2019 22:42

@Help1983uk yes definitely. I had really bad cramps at 4 & 5 dpo but they've eased off today. I had an ectopic in jan and I've only just dared take the plunge again.

Sorry to hear about your chemical hun. I agree though don't think it will be from then.

Definitely up for a partner to symptom spot with I don't even tell dh I think he'd think I was insane haha.

Help1983uk · 04/10/2019 17:46

Hi @Flossylou sorry to hear about your ectopic, I had a MMC first part of this year, so I know how scary and apprehensive everything feels. Fx we both have some luck this time. I wish I didn't test early last month, I wouldn't have known anything other than a 2 day late period.

Funnily enough I had really bad cramping 3 dpo - I did wonder if my ovaries were struggling to release or something.

So symptom wise, I'm tired (which isn't unusual for me during this time of my cycle), and I've got quite a bit of gluey blobby cm (so sorry tmi), it reminds me of wallpaper paste?! Blush
Just took another opk with really diluted wee and it's still positive, no idea what's going on.
How has your day been? I agree - my DH would think I'm mad too, so I won't be sharing my daily symptom spotting with him either [laugh]

@Help1983uk that is strange because that's definitely positive Hmm

I think I maybe had a chemical in March too but it was the faintest line so I just wrote it off as a dodgy test I wasn't ttc. It's so hard not to test early I'm already thinking about it, having an internal argument with myself!

I'm so tired as well we're having a loft conversion and we've just been to bnq and I feel like I need to go straight to bed! They say thick cm is a sign so hopefully it is for you. I seem to have gone the other way and not have any at all when usually I do at this time. My boobs are hurting again today and I've got some aches in my lower stomach but could just be preparing for af... I hate waiting patience is well down my list of attributes haha

Help1983uk · 04/10/2019 19:30

@Flossylou let's make a pact not to test early haha (see how long that lasts).

Oh are you, lots of disruption at home at the moment then. I've read before that lots of people dry up as the mucus plug forms - that could be happening for you. Sore boobs is def a good sign, that's the main thing I remem during my MMC - I wasn't trying at that point, so I didn't do any symptom spotting to compare.
Is your LP 14? I'm guessing you're atleast a week away from your AF?
I'm not sure how positive I feel, I also track my RHR on my fitbit and it's def steadily climbing, time will tell

OP posts:
Flossylou · 04/10/2019 19:42

@Help1983uk yes lots of upheaval, but hopefully we will make good use of the extra room.

I did a research opk before my bath and it was stark white so I am no more help on that front Grin

Yup have a 28 week cycle so af due a week today. Are you the same?

I could make a pact but I'm not sure how long I could stick to it, doesn't help
When I have a cupboard full of tests enticing me.

I've been forgetting to wear my Fitbit this month I've only just put it on again today... how does it work with pg I'd guess heart rate would increase?

Help1983uk · 09/10/2019 22:11

Hi @Flossylou sorry I've been MIA, busy few days. Yep 14 day LP for me too. How have you been? I've got slightly sore nipples but that's about it and my FF app has moved my ovulation day so I'm 9dpo instead of 11 now. How have you been?
So apparently the rhr is lowest during af, then starts slowly rising during the fertile window and remains high until the next period. If it stays high, things are quite promising. It rises around 2.5/3 beats x

No worries, I've had an eventful week! I got a bfp (or less of the big fat, more tiny squinty) on Sunday night. The line just hasn't progressed to being very dark yet which is worrying me particularly as My last pg resulted in an ectopic. I'm just going to wait it out a few days see what happens, I've got an achey pain in my left side but it's not sharp just dull.

That's frustrating putting you back a few days, I wonder why? Sore nipples are a good sign, often people don't have many symptoms early on.

My rhr has gone from 66 to 71 this week!

I'm impressed that you've still not tested I clearly let the side down, I just had a weird feeling. I'd been out sat too so I felt really guilty.

Help1983uk · 11/10/2019 19:59

Bfp, aww lovely. Give it a few more days, fx the line gets darker. Try to stay positive!

I've not tested only because of my chemical last month, just don't want to put myself through that again. I'm 11dpo today and had spotting, so af could be on it's way - although a little early, we'll see.

Your RHR rise sounds promising though xx

@Flossylou how are you doing?

OP posts:
Flossylou · 13/10/2019 20:22

Hi sorry, I've only just returned to Mumsnet tonight I've had a weekend off to try stop thinking about it.

How are things your end? Did the spotting progress to af or did it stop?

I'm still none the wiser, I'm thoroughly fed up truth be told! Still getting + but not as strong as I'd expect, I must must see the dr tommorow! Although I've got a conference that about an hour away so not sure how
I'll fit it in Confused

Help1983uk · 13/10/2019 20:32

Don't apologise, I totally understand, it's so consuming isn't it!

Spotting didn't progress into anything. I tested this morn - 13dpo, bfn. I feel I'm out this month, which I guess isn't a bad thing after the chemical last month. I'm definitely going to stop putting pressure on things from now on.

I'm sorry to hear that, I'm hoping it's just a slow riser for you. Yes definitely try to see the docs, or even A and E after work to put your mind at ease, although it's too early for anything to show on a scan I presume. When was af due?

OP posts:
Flossylou · 13/10/2019 21:12

Definitely, I think I'm obviously concerned due to my previous pregnancy being ectopic! I do really need to see someone, I've debated ane several times but then I've not got a real emergency. Will see what tomorrow brings- after a days conference on immunisations I may well be ready to cry without an evening at the hospital Grin

I do keep wondering if perhaps this is a chemical which is why the tests aren't getting darker at any speed. Tbf I think I've been over all possibilities.

You did well not to test till 13dpo! There's still some hope; the spotting could well have been implantation. I agree with you in regards putting so much pressure on yourself when ttc, I try not too but every time it's the same, this is the first month we'd tried again after the ectopic in January. I've literally not been able to put myself through it until now.

Help1983uk · 14/10/2019 18:27

@Flossylou how has today been? Any progress on the line? And have you gone to the hosp?
So I've had a faint bfp today, so I'm going to wait to see if it gets darker, and then call docs to see if it's safe to take baby asprin each day as I've read lots of success stories. So positive OPKs were a sign for me, they didn't remain dark dark, but I wonder if when they went extra dark the sperm and egg met? Who knows

OP posts:
Flossylou · 14/10/2019 20:20

congratulations to you Thanks how exciting! what does the aspirin do!? I've got positive opk when pregnant but never mid month, it's an interesting theory.

I'm currently at the hospital, waiting to see if I will be admitted or if they will let me home to return tomorrow for a scan. My hcg levels are 25 which is low... I'm just praying for anything but ectopic.
