Period or withdrawal?

Hi,

6 weeks since I took my last pill (desogetrel) and today I finally have bleeding

So, my question is, is it to late for this to be a withdrawal bleed and I can class it as my period? I have severe cramping which is sometimes dropping me to the floor in pain. This isn't unusual as I have always suffered with my periods as I have PCOS.

I'd say this is your first period since the pill

I remember my periods started off quite light when I first came off the period, but sounds like your bodies getting back on track!! X

Sounds like your first AF to me. I got my first bleed 27 days after stopping the pill, then my next one 27 days after that so it looks like I've settled into a regular cycle straight away .

Period.

Withdrawal bleed usually starts a few days after you stop the pill as usual on pill free week. And if you've quit for good it can add an extra week or more of it on to the end of that (fun times xD)

It's much heavier today so safe to say AF is in full force. Here's hoping they are regular... Or am I asking too much? 😂😂

Finally found a thread that might give me some answers/understanding.

I have PCOS and came off the pill in January.
Ive had episodes of what I think is spotting. Not sure if I can class it as a period or not.

I say I think spotting as when I go to the toilet and I wipe there is blood ranging between fresh blood and brown/red discharge/blood for several days in a row. Sorry if this is a bit graphic!!
ive had these episodes in March, April, June, August and this week (October).

So is it spotting or period?!?

Oh it's definitely a period. I haven't had any spotting at all! Very painful and bright red xx
