Missed POP 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hi Guys,

Looking for some advice please.

I’ve been on Desorex (POP) since Apr 2017. And recently I’ve missed one, silly me! I usually take them everyday at 10:30pm - So here’s how it all went. (We never use condoms)

Thursday 19th Sept - pill (10:30pm) + sex
Friday 20th Sept - sex (forgotten pill day)
Saturday 21st Sept - sex + (normal pill & missed pill at 10:30pm)
Sunday 22nd Sept - sex + pill
Monday 23rd Sept - sex + pill

I hadn’t realised you had to use extra contraception if you’d missed one, and I’m unable to have emergency contraception due to allergies.

I’m going to test on Thurs 10th but, just wanted some advice until then for peace of mind. What are the actual chances of me being pregnant?

Oh can I add, that I don't usually get periods often due to my pill. Maybe 1 every few months. My last one was September 8th-12th.

As always there is a chance, just to confirm you had sex on all the days ? Don’t think you are surposed to take the two pills on sale day

As PP said there is always a chance, although not high, depends on what part of the cycle you were on.
If you miss a pill you are supposed to use contraception for the next 7 days not just on the missed day.

Yeah I knew there was a risk but wasn't sure how high it was - yep had sex on all the days. And I thought I had to take it as soon as I remembered + the normal one at the normal time. I only realised I'd missed Friday's when Saturdays alarm went off 🤦🏽‍♀️

@Wanderer1 oh right okay, my info leaflet says 2 days of extra contraception instead of 7. So I thought maybe that was a good sign. 🙏🏼
