Smiley faces for ever....

Hi All,
First post here. Been TTC since September last year... and still nothing. Very frustrated because in life I am super organised and had a whole timeline planned out!!! Have had bloods checked and even had an U/S that's all clear- gp says so far I'm in the 'unexplained infertility' bracket which sucks.

I've been using the clear blue ovulation tests for about 4 months and previously have had textbook flashing faces for a few days and then a solid smiley.

This month I get nothing but flashing smileys for over 9 days... I test first thing in the morning.

Any thoughts???

Thank you all!!!

Hi @lsc5614 I'm in the same boat...ish. TTC for a while now but this is the first month using CB connected ovulation kit (previously used ICs) and I've had a flashing smiley for 5 days now. I am due to O today or tomorrow going by previous cycles.

It may be that your body is gearing up to ovulate but not quite reached that point yet. I read a few other posts from people in a similar position and many of them kept testing and eventually go their static smiley a lot later than expected (which generally means you'll have a longer cycle as LP doesn't change).

Hoping you get your solid smiley soon x

Ladies, just so you know, I've had 14 days of flashing smiley faces on Clearblue Advanced Digital and finally a steady smiley on day 25! Ended up having a 37 day cycle (didn't conceive and planning to temp this month to check if I ovulate, I've had a previous miscarriage so things may not be quite right yet). But, the point is, keep testing as you may well get a steady face later than you expect. Good luck!

it should say steady smiley on cycle* day 25, sorry.

I've had three months where I did get flashing smiley and then a static one. This one it just keeps flashing though :(

I have period every 30/31 days like clockwork. Found out through blood tests that I don't ovulate until day 21!!! I've got a lovely 3 year old now after 9 years TTC and 2 lots of IVF. Test every day of the month as even if your cycle is super regular like mine, ovulation could still be early / late for no apparent reason!!!

OP, I understand, but your ovulation date may vary between the cycles. It happens. Occasionally, it also happens that you may have an anovulatory cycle, too. Keep testing and there's a good chance you'll get it later on in the cycle (and keep on dtd!) xx

Thank you @MrsMGE.... I will!
