Used a clear and simple (£1.50) preg test the day my period was due - got a neg. period still late 2 days later...

... are Clear and Simple reliable?

Anyone get a strong negative on something like the day their period was due, but were still pregnant? Can’t decide whether or not to get my hopes up again!

Can't comment on that brand, but best advice is always leave it a few days before testing again. Can you get some first response?

I'm regular as clockwork, but one month (after 7 months ttc) I was 4 days late. No reason for it at all. I wasn't pg in the end but wish I'd waited a few days to test instead of testing twice a day from 2 days before I was due. It would've saved the heart ache and money.
FYI I'm now almost at my due date after taking a 3 month break ttc and starting again and falling pg within 2 months.

Hey op, I didnt get a positive on the clear and simple brand tests until I was nearly a week late. (I'm currently around 8 weeks so have used these tests very recently!) Other tests were already showing a nice solid second line while the clear and simple test were only just starting to show a squinter of line!
I'd definitely try another brand if that's the only one you've used.

An update for anyone looking at this thread in the future with the same question - I got my period in the end! The test was accurate.
