Have/ are any of you trying this? I had a miscarriage almost seven months ago. Desperate to get pregnant again.

Worried this will take the 'magic' out of DTD.

Has it worked for you?

Hi @sophied1983 there is definitely no 'magic' in DTD with SMEP, it's very regimented (but highly effective so I've read). There are loads of success stories from people falling pregnant within the first couple of months of SMEPing.

We tried it last month and it was pretty tiring. We weren't successful unfortunately. Planned to try it again this month but DH has been down with the cold for a week so not managed it.

It's definitely worth a try though! Sorry for your previous loss x

I know that getting pregnant again will make me feel so much better, but that then puts loads of pressure on which obviously doesn't help.

Both times previously - with my daughter and the miscarriage - it was not because of some diarised plan - once on a hangover after work Xmas party and the other time on holiday... but am getting frustrated now that it's not happening.

We tried it twice, the first time we tried it no luck but the 2nd time we conceived. Its worth a shot but the 3 days in a row are defiitley tiring!

Good luck xx

I am so sorry for your loss x

We had a miscarriage and then found SMEP - it worked quickly for us twice (one ended in another miscarriage, but the next one is now our DD). It can make things a bit pressurised and unspontaneous, but if you can treat it like a fun game that can help. (Also consider: legs up the wall; and I used Softcups, a disposable menstrual cup (would NOT recommend the re-usable mooncup-style ones) after DTD to hold in the sperm for a while.) Good luck OP x
