Boobs not sore during luteal phase

Hi all

My periods are pretty regular (33-34 day cycles) and my boobs always hurt for around 7-10 days before AF. However, this month I’ve literally had no pain at all! Currently on CD 30 and keep pressing my boobs to see if they hurt but they just feel normal! I have read that painful boobs during the luteal phase could be due to increase in progesterone. I thought I had ovulated on CD 18 and DP and I had unprotected sex on CD 21. Wondering if I actually ovulated late and now I could be pregnant! Either that or I just didn’t ovulate at all? (probably more likely!)

Has anyone else usually had painful boobs before AF and then not had pain when it turned out they were pregnant?

Yeah I always get sore boobs before AF too - but this month I don’t at all which is why I’m questioning what’s going on! 🤔 probably nothing though just me overanalysing!

@MilsCookie not atall I was the same with over analysing things. When I was pregnant with my first my boobs were in agony with my second had nothing atall.

@kellyw1989 really? Hmmm that’s interesting. Oh well I suppose will have to wait and see if AF appears in the next few days as at the moment I have zero PMS symptoms!

Ohh I’m the same and there was a thread I saw really recently where the OP didn’t have sore boobs in the lead up to her period and she was pg - I’ll see if I can find it...

So my period is due today and I have no signs that she is going to show up. Zero pms symptoms; no cramps or sore boobs etc. What is going on? Did anyone have this and then get a BFP?

Just take a test...?

I’m in Nepal at the moment ...not easy to find a test!

I will try and find one if af doesn’t show up in the next few days...

Following your posts with interest! I'm in my TWW, AF due Oct 9. I don't have sore boobs which is one of the only symptoms I'm missing although I'm still too early on to know anything. I'm DPO 5

Hi @missoa! do you usually get sore boobs before AF? I literally have no symptoms of either af or pregnancy so I’m baffled! Period is due today though so I’m gonna just wait and see!

@MilsCookie ah keep us posted! You're right though no I don't usually get sore boobs before AF. I don't really get many symptoms before it, maybe some spots and I get a bit emotional/pathologically moody and I just start thinking about it coming, which is my biggest indicator! Since TTC I've been getting all sorts of aches and pains each cycle, even though no pregnancies, bit bizarre!

@missoa hmmm that’s interesting! What cycle are you on since TTC? We technically weren’t going to try till early next year but it wouldn’t be a complete disaster if I fell pregnant now. I haven’t even spoken to my DP about my lack of symptoms because I’m not actually ‘late’ just yet. I hate how this time every month I go crazy thinking ‘am I, aren’t I!’ 🙈🤯

@MilsCookie I came off the pill about 1 year ago and started prepping, but we never really managed it for months. It's only been since June that we've really be tracking, timing, weeing on sticks and so, so that's 4 cycles. Each cycle I've though I was pregnant as I've been getting quite strong cramps for a week after dtd, as well as strong (painful) cramping during ovulation. Ive never felt ovulation before. I've had a few dizzy spells too. In the past two weeks I've been pretty emotional, I've certainly sent a few snotty emails at work when I just can't hold my (passive aggressive) temper anymore, as well as crying at adverts on the tv. I've also had hot flushes on my face for a few days, spots, and I don't feel able to go to the gym like normal

@missoa those sound like some pretty unusual symptoms! How many days away from testing are you? Keep us updated!

So I still have zero signs of AF, now two days late. I have slight tenderness in the outer edges of my boobs (but only if I press them) and the whole of today I have had the weirdest metallic taste in my mouth, really prominent on the edges of my tongue. Really want to do a test but can’t find one anywhere where I am at the moment in Nepal!! 😬

Ahh exciting news! I'm a few days away from testing, currently only 6 dpo. I saw an online recipe in the Indian Times for a home made pregnancy test when I was googling around my symptoms yet again, not sure whether that's something I'd fully recommend though! Maybe Nepalese culture has something similar. So cool you're in Nepal by the way, must be beautiful

@missoa thank you for that link! I might try it haha. I’m actually flying from Nepal to India today- so hoping to find a test there! I would be so happy to be pg but we are travelling until December so it wouldn’t be ideal 😬 I’m now thinking the altitude in Nepal might have affected my cycle...it either means af is really late, or I ovulated later than I thought and we had unprotected sex when I thought we were in the clear! Will let you know...

Thank you so much @missoa! I am literally in shock!! But I knew something was different this month! After usually having pms symptoms before af, to having zero symptoms. (Which is weird because you’d think you would have lots of symptoms if you were pg!)

I think I ovulated late and accidentally got ‘caught’. We always use condoms during my fertile time, going from an app and looking at CM, and this method has worked for over a year successfully. So I thought I ovulated on CD18 (I usually ovulate around CD17/18) and then we had unprotected sex on CD21. So I am assuming I ovulated around then, maybe CD21 or 22? And I’m now CD37. I literally can’t believe it!! Conceived in Nepal and did the pregnancy test in India! I bought two tests so I might do another in the morning just to check!
