Sperm test at doctor

Me and husband have gone to the doctor several times for a sperm test and every time,they say the kit being sent through the post, anyone as similar experience, is this typical

It's more typical to do it at their office.

It usually had to be looked at under microscope within a certain timeframe. We could obtain a sample at home but had to deliver it within half An hour. At the urologist, it was done there and looked at straight away

@katbecool acthe first time my husband went to the gp she said your wife rude to ask you to get a sperm test and she printed a form out for sperm test then said he didn't need it and put it in the bin

@skippetyskoo the question is, when you first go to the gp ,and ask for your sperm to be tested ,do they give you a form and tub or does that come through the post,i feel we being fobbed off

@Wedding2018 your experience sounds bizarre. You're trying to conceive, sperm test is needed if you're not successful within a certain time frame. And there's no test in the post, it's all done at the Dr's office. But normally not by gp, either a urologist or a fertility clinic.

@KatBeCool we are at the beginning of our treatment, me and my husband are being tested because we been trying for a year and nothing happened, so we went to our gp
