Pregnant after miscarriage

Hi all I suffered a miscarriage on the 16th of August, 2 weeks later I had a negative test and scan to confirm it was all gone. Fast forward to Saturday just gone and have had a positive pregnancy test and also clear blue says 2/3weeks which normally means 4/5 correct? I did not have a period in between and even done a test on the 15th of September which was negative. I just really feel like the test is wrong and I’m worried nothing is going to be there. I’m so tempted to go and pay for a early scan in a weeks time which is £50 but I also have a scan my doctor referred me for a months time when I should be 8/9 weeks but I really don’t know if I can wait that long overthinking and wondering if I’m actually pregnant. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I would say your definitely pregnant. This is what happened to me. I would go to your GP as I did who should give you repeat blood tests to confirm as you’ve had no periods in between. The doubling rate and hcg levels will hopefully give you some reassurance x

I've never had this experience but if I were you, I would definitely go for the early scan as waiting another month will drive you nuts! Can your GP not give you a blood test to check HCG levels? If you had a previous negative test then any HCG in your blood now should be from a new pregnancy.

Best of luck and sorry for your previous loss x

I had an early miscarriage a couple of years ago & conceived immediately after, my miscarriage was basically counted as first day of my last period for dating purposes. Not sure how far along you were but everything returned to normal immediately for me which is how I ended up getting pregnant straight away again. I’d definitely do another test & if that’s positive then book in for an early scan, the peace of mind is so worth it. Good luck Smile

As long as you got a negative test after the miscarriage you can believe this is a new pregnancy.
I had positive tests for 9 weeks after my miscarriage.
