3 days late, negative test, brown discharge?!

I gather this is asked a lot but just looking for some advice...

I had unprotected sex on 8th sept, 2 weeks after my last period started. Period due Sunday, still hasn't arrived. Usually have a 28 day cycle. Have a slight dull cramp but not the usual period cramps or feeling cranky/emotional like I usually do.

Took a FRER HPT this morning with first pee of the day and it was BFN. Have been having very light brown discharge since this morning, not enough to dispose onto a pad but visible when wiping. Never usually have this before a period, could this possibly be late implantation?

Not ttc but wouldn't be the end of the world if I was pregnant.

Hate this waiting game of either waiting for the period or waiting for a positive.. any advice or similar situations? X

It sounds like it could be implantation bleed, are you getting any other symptoms ?

@kellyw1989 I had bad cramps last week but like a constant dull ache, not the usual period pain cramps. This week they've been a lot lighter almost feels like constant hunger pains? Had slight nausea waves on and off throughout the day but no morning sickness. Boobs are fine too

It does sound like implantation bleed, what test are you using. Would this be first pregnancy ?

@kellyw1989 ahhhh okay thank you! The brown discharge seems to have got a little lighter now in terms of wiping, virtually nothing.. so only lasted this morning really. I used a first response early response this morning (first wee) and it was negative x

@kellyw1989 and yep first pregnancy, hence the cluelessness! Lol x

Update today.. period still not arrived, had some brown discharge yesterday but nothing since. Boobs aren't sore, nothing really out of the norm. Occasional cramp but that's it! might leave it until Saturday then take another test.. about my 100th one!
