Cervical Mucus HELP! -Triggar Warning - pic in post

Hi all,

I'm so so sorry for the graphic pic, I went to the toilet, needing a number 2, was very constipated (barley anything came out although I was straining) sorry tmi

Anyway after a long time on the toilet I looked and there was loads (and I mean loads) of mucus

I'm assuming (and hoping) it came from my vagina??

I'm near ovulation time (although negative opks atm)

Normally I get ewcm and it's clear and only a little bit. This has totally freaked me out?? Searched the web, can't find anything.

I managed to get a little bit on a tissue for a picture (again sorry for the pic)

Any help or advice will be greatful thank you xx

From the colour, I'd be assuming it came from the rear exit. I get this semi frequently, never had it checked out as I wasn't aware it wasn't normal till a few months ago. I think it can be linked to constipation.

Hey OP, it may sound weird but did it smell?

Yellow discharge often (but not always) indicates an infection or a sexually transmitted disease. It could be Trichomoniasis. Anything that is out of the ordinary for you should be reviewed by your GP.

I've had that from my arse when I've strained for a poo!

I work in a lab that handles a lot of poo, it could be from your bum I'm afraid. Maybe see if it's still there next time you go for a wee and if it is then go to your GP?

No it didn't smell,

Can't be a sexually transmitted desease as I've been with my husband a long time and got checked after we first met.

Maybe it did come from the rear end? thank you for your help xxxx

Possibly, more likely to be inflammation though, so like irritable bowel syndrome or a food intolerance maybe? I'm in no way an expert in either of those things though, and I promise I'm not a poo troll, just a microbiologist that sees more than their fair share of poop!

That does look like EWCM apparently as the egg is released can cause a little brown blood. Often occurring after the pressure of a bowel movement. Was informed of this when TTC.
