Ovulation, AF, BFP, after miscarriage

Hi everyone,

Just after some advise. I had a miscarriage last month at 6 weeks and I ovulated around 12th September which is the first time since the miscarriage. I continued to use OPK until they started to fade around
14/15th September.

Now I’m due AF in 3 days and I had one OPK left. Last time when I was pregnant I did an OPK a few days before AF and it was positive so thought I would do the same now. To my surprise it’s positive again. Now since I’ve read that OPKs don’t actually mean anything and you can get positives before AF without being pregnant.

Has anyone got positive OPKs before AF and not been pregnant? I’m just thinking it’s more that my body is all over the place and not sure what it’s doing.

Sorry for your loss OP. Flowers

That’s not a positive OPK. The test line should be as dark or darker than the control line.

@BeingATwatItsABingThing
In real life it’s pretty much the same colour. But kind of my point being is when I’ve done them this close to AF before I don’t even get a second line let alone one that’s nearly positive.

Thanks anyway. Probably more wishful thinking than anything else

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you. I wouldn’t use an OPK to check for pregnancy though. You can have multiple surges in a month.

@BeingATwatItsABingThing

Thank you. That’s what I kind of wanted to know. As I’ve never had OPK like this close to AF apart from when pregnant so wasn’t sure.
Sound stupid but if you have a surge can you get pregnant or do you just actually ovulate once in a cycle?

Thanks for not reading and running x

As far as I know, you only ovulate once in a cycle. You might not release an egg even after the first surge.
