Hey

I found out I was pregnant on Sunday, did 3 home pregnancy tests (1 Clearblue and a pink cheaper one) and all positive).

Did another Clearblue test on Monday and positive again.

Woke up yesterday and had some cramps and spotting so went to the doctor. They didn’t do a pregnancy test but tested for a urine infection and it was fine. She referred me to the early pregnancy unit at the hospital.

Called them and they said I’m too early for a scan, first day of my last period was 13th of August, so they said I’m about 5 weeks, however I had my daughter on the 7th of January and my periods are extremely irregular so gestation is hard to predict.

They told me to get a blood test to test my HCG levels, so went and did that. At the time they took a urine sample and told me it’s negative! I was in so much shock. I asked if this meant I’d lost the baby and they said it’s hard to tell as they need to get the test results back first but it’s likely it was a chemical pregnancy.

Got home and did 2 more Clearblue tests and both were positive.

Got my HCG results this morning and they’re low at 21 so I have to go back tomorrow to see if they’ve increased or decreased so they can confirm what’s going on.

I’m still spotting lightly but only if I wipe when I go to the toilet. Yesterday it was streaky and today it’s brown. I’ve also still got cramps mainly on my left side.

I’m going out of my mind not knowing what’s happening and just want to process it if it is a failed pregnancy. I’m holding onto hope but I think it may be false hope.

Has anyone been through this? Xxx

I'm sorry you are going through this. It could be a chemical, it's hard to say at this stage. Fingers crossed 🤞 the bloods give you an answer.

I'm
Currently in the same situation I haven't seen a doctor yet, I had positive tests until yesterday I had one negative and then today I started getting cramps and started spotting I'm not due my next period in 3 days so I feel like I'm having a chemical pregnancy/ miscarriage ☹️
