Ovulation OPK Help

I have been tracking my ovulation religiously this month using both cheap OPKs and clear blue smilies. I have PCOS and am on medication to help me ovulate, so am really hoping I do this month.

I got flashing smilies and strong lines on opks for around 5 days, yesterday and today solid smilie and really dark OPK. I took another test late morning and only got a faint line (after dark line first thing this morning)!

What is going on, do you think I have ovulated or is this another failed attempt?

I was in the exact situation as you earlier and got a great reply. I think the surge itself lasts a very short period of time but that it indicates that ovulation will take place 12 to 36 hours following it. That's why you've gone from a solid smilie to nothing so quickly (just like me). Hope I've explained this properly but hopefully others will wade in. Smile

Thanks for your reply, I'm hoping that is what it is. We managed to DTD last night and hopefully will tonight too. Just a bit worried as although they are dark lines, I don't think any of them are actually positive although I did get the static smiley.

If you got a static smiley you don't need to test again that month as that means you will ovulate within 24-36 hours.

This happened to me I got 5 days flashing and then a static smiley on day 6 and a positive cheap OPK, I ovulated the next day so I could feel ovulation we fell pregnant that month and we didn't actually manage to DTD until the day of ovulation itself. Very lucky I know.

Good luck x
