Did a&e miss my pregnancy?

Hi all
Been ttc since my miscarriage in June. Period is a day late and I have very sore boobs / veiny nipples! But I was in a&e Friday night due to my heart condition and they took a urine test to check for pregnancy which came out negative? Could they of missed it and it been too early?

Your period is only a day late so it’s entirely possible that you wouldnt’ve had sufficient hcg in your system to reliably test positive for pregnancy on a urine dip last Friday (guessing you would have been about 10DPO which is very early), especially in the evening when presumably you’d been well hydrated and passing urine as normal during the day.

A&e use cheap tests which don’t pick up low levels of HCG
