Has anyone been through a similar experience?
My story:
I was 7 weeks pregnant when I started bleeding. No pain at all and it was like a period. Went to the EPU for a scan expecting them to say it was a miscarriage which they did but also wanted to rule out ectopic as a precaution so I had blood tests 48 hours apart. They showed hcg at 2500 a week after supposed miscarriage so they said that wasn't normal and called me back in for scan. Consultant said he suspected ectopic and I was admitted for emergency surgery and tube removal before it ruptured
I'm gutted obviously and it has been awful
Went to gp yesterday and he said as the bleeding came before the pain that was unusual and also as I had 3 plus on a clear blue digital on the day I found out I was pregnant ( day AF due) which he said was very high and he suspected I had twins ( one in uterus and one in tube) and the bleeding beforehand was me miscarrying the one on the uterus .. didn't make me feel better!
Anyway I was also told that chances of another ectopic was 10 percent which scares me to death as I have already been unlucky enough to be the one in eighty pregnant women who has an ectopic
He did say that figure included people who had not had tube removed and also those who had existing risk conditions so would be lower for me as I didn't
I think in time I would like to try again. I have one dc already. However I am so scared of this happening again
Has anyone else been through this and how did you pluck up courage to try again?
