Have I missed the window

I got a positive OPK on Friday night. We haven't been able to dtd yet and won't be able to until tonight as hubby has been unwell. Have we missed the window by tonight?

Probably yes 😞
The best way to approach it is to dtd lots in the lead up to ovulation as the sperm lives for a good few days (as much as 5 I think...)

But it's worth doing it anyway 😊

@Hardheadedwoman39 I thought so ☹️ We already have three children but I've never tracked my cycle before as I've always caught on straight after stopping my pill before my period. Chance has just had it that between two sick children and a sick husband, we haven't been able to dtd this week yet. Stupid back to school sickness bug!

You'll ovulate 12-36 hours after a positive OPK, and the egg can live for 12-24 hours after it's released so there's a small chance you could catch it still if you're at the far end of both of those- there's no way to tell unfortunately so there's also a chance you've missed it if at the shorter end.

It's better to dtd in the run up to ovulation as well as sperm lives much longer than an egg.
