Following on from Thomcat's thread, it does seem like there are a quite a few of us with toddlers now TTC. Hands up!

Me - ds 2 (and a couple of weeks)

Me (and dh!) Dd is 3 and we've been ttc since jan 03 (yes, 03!). Dd took 3 months to conceive.

teabelly · 22/09/2004 15:11

Hello can I join you? I was previously registered as timea (but seemed to be only one using real name so have changed my nickname) I have a ds 2yrs 3mths and we have been ttc no2 since june. On CD28 today so fingers crossed

Nome · 22/09/2004 15:12

Me (and dh...) Ds is 20 monts and we've finally agreed that a secind would be a 'good thing'. We're only trying in a half-hearted way - as the mood takes us...no thermometers/charting yet!

sweetheart · 22/09/2004 15:15

Me too. Dd is 4

we have been ttc #2 for 9 months - am currently cd32 - still no af and a BFN

MrsWednesday · 22/09/2004 15:34

Sorry to read that sweetheart (and sorry if it seems like I'm following you around today!).

My DS was 2 this week and we are trying for another one - have been since January but have had two miscarriages.

Perhaps once they get to age 2 we all start forgetting how hard the first few months were...

OldieMum · 22/09/2004 15:45

We are trying. DD will be 2 in January. It took us 6 IVF cycles to get her and we may have another attempt to get a sibling for her, but we are also trying to conceive naturally.

ebbie22 · 22/09/2004 15:51

Hands as high as i can reach...
I have a dd 21 months have been trying for number 2 since dec 03...

LunarSea · 22/09/2004 15:56

me too - ds just 3, been trying since just before he was 1. Seems like half those months either dh or I have had to be working late/away at the appropriate times, and of the other half either dh falls asleep on the sofa and refuses to be aroused (or even plain roused!), ds decides to have a non-sleeping period, or my cycle goes doolally and weighs in with something like 15 days or 51 days. So could probably count on one hand the months where there's even been a chance

ebbie22 · 22/09/2004 16:00

Why does it seem impossible to fall pregnant when you want it too?

Me too. DD is 2y 5m. Had thought we would stick at one but all changes in last couple of months. On Month 1, CD15. Not expecting much to happen quick though. Took us AGES with DD.

Mirage · 22/09/2004 18:45

Me too.DD is nearly 13 months & took over 3 years to concieve,so thought we'd better start sooner than later for no2.

mrsflowerpot · 22/09/2004 18:52

And me. DS is 3y6m - we've been ttc since the beginning of 2003. Only took 5 months first time round, so we were optimistic of getting our 'ideal' 3 year age gap, ho hum.

Moomin · 22/09/2004 18:58

myermay - see my post near the bottom - no it isn't! Took 3 months and then had an early mis then got pg with dd straight away after that. No 2 has taken 21m and counting!

Whimsy · 22/09/2004 19:35

Us too, ds is 21mths and have been trying for 6mths. Had unexplained infertility before ds who we conceived during IUI. Hoping it will happen naturally this time

ebbie22 · 22/09/2004 19:37

I came off hrt to start ttc with dd,only took 6 months in total and only 2 periods...Now its over 9 months

SilverLining · 22/09/2004 21:40

Me too! DD 2.5 years and took one attempt only! TTC no 2 since March with no success. Absolutely hopeless at all the signs I should be looking for and added difficulty is although DH is very willing in the BD department he works away most weeks so our "opportunities" are limited! Not normally a control freak but finding it increasingly difficult when what I want to happen doesn't! Very reassuring to "see" so many other people in similar position - helps me to feel not going mad!! Lots of baby dust to us all!

Tania2 · 30/09/2004 05:30

Me too. been ttc for 10 months now ds is 2 in November. took several yrs to conceive ds not sure how many as we wernt really trying but we werent using any contraception for 7 yrs as doc's said i would need help to conceive. seeing a natrapath now and taking chinese herbs friend fell pg in the first month of taking herbs after 6 yrs ttc. fingers crossed for this month. we should count ourselves as lucky as we already have one child. but the age gap thing seems to play in all our minds.

cp3 · 30/09/2004 08:08

Me too!!! DD 16, DD 2 and Ds 1. TTc for 3 months only. Feel so much for you ladies that have been ttc for longer. Good Luck to you all

tex111 · 30/09/2004 08:45

Me too. DS is 26 months and we've been TTC since April '04. I had a miscarriage in June and another one a couple of weeks ago. Taking a break this month and then we'll start trying again. Took ten months to conceive DS (and that was with temping, etc) so I thought it might take a while this time. Just never expected to be having miscarriages. Feeling optimistic though and hope to be PG again by Christmas.

krocket · 30/09/2004 08:53

me too, DS is 3 and we've been TTC for 5 months

muddaofsuburbia · 30/09/2004 08:56

I keep reminding myself that the more time I'm not pg, the more time I have with just me and ds while I'm not knackered and throwing up. But I do think he'll be a such a lovely big brother

OP posts:
krocket · 30/09/2004 09:00

mudda - i try to do exactly the same but it's hard isn't it, I have friend with 6 month old baby and DS loves her, so gentle and loving (I realise would probably be different with a brother or sister but so lovely watching him)
