TTC #1 for 5 months - I've just taken a Superdrug pregnancy test this morning and have what I think is a very faint line? My period isn't due until Wednesday 18th and I'll test again on the day, but just wanted to see what everyone else thinks? Feeling quite excited but don't want to get my hopes up!

Looks positive to me! Congratulations Smile

Congratulations, you're pregnant!

I see two lines!! 👀

TwinklyTwinkle · 14/09/2019 08:36

Thanks ladies!! I'm scared to even believe it! Blush Desperately want to do another test but know I need to leave it at least 48 hours now to get a better result if true!

I got a very faint line, and I mean extremely faint with these but when I used a frer it was a strong line whilst these tests took ages to get strong, don't drive yourself mad about line progression like I did, get a better test and get a nice clear line x

CucinaBreakfast · 14/09/2019 08:48

Positive! Congrats, hope it gets darker tomorrow and all goes well 💐

TwinklyTwinkle · 14/09/2019 08:50

@mariarosa1991 I have a clearblue 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' one in my drawer but I read they're not as sensitive (and they're quite pricey!) so bought the Superdrug cheapies to try first so I wouldn't waste that one if I was unsure. Bit tempted to try it tomorrow morning now though..

@CucinaBreakfast Thankyou!! I'll have to keep you all updated if I get another with a clearer result!

These are my tests from my pregnancy. As you can see my first test was even fainter than yours. 2 days after that test is did a first response but not an early result test, it was rapid results which requires 50-100 level of hcg, as you can see it was a very strong line, so I reckon an early result first response would have been a strong positive had used that on the first day I tested.

The cheaper one has requires only a level of 20 but the rapid results has a very strong line although requires a lot higher amount!

@mariarosa1991 Thanks so much for this!! I was wondering if the Superdrug tests regularly gave results that faint or whether I was just being optimistic! I just went to Tesco but they didn't have any first responses there, so going to do another test tomorrow and then try the clearblue digital one later this week!

@TwinklyTwinkle no probs hun, let me know how goes! X

TwinklyTwinkle · 15/09/2019 07:43

Took another cheapy test last night (couldn't resist!) and a clearblue digital one this morning...it's confirmed! So excited, yet terrified! The test says 1-2 weeks, however as it goes from the date of my last period which was August 17th, allegedly I'm going into my 5th week of pregnancy?

Congratulations!

CucinaBreakfast · 15/09/2019 10:08

Oh and those digital tests aren't from lmp, they're from conception so it looks ok

teachermam · 15/09/2019 10:25

Definitely a line

TwinklyTwinkle · 15/09/2019 10:26

Thanks @CucinaBreakfast! I've just read the clearblue info sheet again and it says this.. (photo) So not so worried about the weeks indicator anymore! I guess I just need to book in a GP appointment soon and get everything checked over Smile

Thankyou everyone for your help! Xx

Great stuff. Hope all goes well! I'm 36 weeks preggers so at the very opposite end of the journey. Congrats again

TwinklyTwinkle · 15/09/2019 12:56

@CucinaBreakfast That's so exciting, not long to go for you! Hope it all goes well!

Fab! :)...yes don't worry about the weeks thing, 1-2 weeks is fine as it can take anywhere up to 12 days past ovulation for implantation to happen, congrats!

Crazymummyto3 · 15/09/2019 22:02

Congratulations ☺️

CucinaBreakfast · 16/09/2019 00:54

Also your hcg levels at this stage are so variable person to person, the digital tests take an average range and gauge the weeks that way. You're definitely preggers, and that's what counts 👍

Hi I’m new to all this and it’s my first post. I’m currently 18dpo, and according to the app I’m using 3 days late. I’ve had really bad headaches, nausea and really bad lower back pain. So I’ve stayed strong and not tested till this morning ( woke at 4.30 and now I can’t get back asleep) anyway I’m not sure if I can see I very faint like or if my tired eyes are playing tricks on me. I wanted someone’s opinion but not sure how to add a photo? Thanks

CucinaBreakfast · 16/09/2019 06:45

Hi @clairypink you're better off starting a new thread. You'll have to have an account for 24 hours i think before they let you post a photo. Good luck!

Clairypink · 16/09/2019 06:50

@CucinaBreakfast thanks for your advice x

Congratulations! Hope it's a sticky bean for you
