Is this the way a normal cervix faces?

Hi,
So check my cervix when I'm crouched down. When I put my finger inside and check it, the opening of the cervix isn't facing towards my fingers. It is facing away, downwards towards the walls of my back passage. Is this the normal direction a cervix should be facing please?

Yep, sounds normal to me.

I assume you've had a smear test? I have a tilted cervix and was told so (as I have to get in a slightly different position and have a pillow under my bum for them to get the right angle). You'd have been told then if there was anything untoward. Don't worry :). I can't comment on whether what you're feeling is normal, as I've never felt a normal one!
