Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

Everyone else in nct is now pregnant with their second and I'm upset.

We're trying to conceive number 2 and it seems I'm the last one to manage it. I know I should be playing the game in front of me and ignore everyone else but it really stings.

I think I'm after a handhold.

Ah @omikron I know it’s so hard when it feels like everyone around you is getting pregnant and you’re not. Have you been trying long? Hugs for you ❤️ xx

I've been there. The ppl who had trouble conceiving #1 started trying earlier than they would've and got pregnant sooner than expected! Half the group were expecting their second with a two-year or less age gap. The other half were sticking with one dc for various reasons.

Then we were in the middle, trying for a year or so after conceiving #1 immediately. Went to ivf in the end, and am v happy with the age gap and lovely dc2.
Good luck, without wanting to worry you, secondary infertility isn't that rare (and "infertility" is an extreme word for, what in our case, was low sperm count), so maybe be diligent on keeping track of ovulation etc then going to get checked out if nothing happens within a year or so. Unfortunately the nhs won't help much when you have one child already.

Exactly the same for us I wanted a 2 year age gap - but we are suffering secondary infertility and in the 2 years been ttc nr2 have had 5 mc and 2 ruptured ectopics- I'm now permanent infertile and start ivf injections in the next hour.....I'm an extreme case though!

I'm now not bothered about the age gap so long as we do have another child!
