Hello,

I’m new here... looking to chat to people who are in a similar situation as I’ve kept quite private... all my friends busy with their young broods!!!

I’m pushing 36, TTC 18 months, initial bloods and sa are normal, on a long wait for a laparoscopy to see what’s happening in there.

Any positive stories for me or tips on how to stay sane? The lack of control is slowly getting the better of me!

Hi, I just turned 39 and have been TTC for 3 months, we just got married and had tried a couple of years ago before the wedding plans got in the way. I'm feeling a bit lost and not in control so would be nice to have someone to chat to. Yesterday I bought an ovulation kit, pre seed and pregnacare vitamins. Blush

Hi, I'm only 26 but me and my husband have been trying for 12 months with no hope! We have just booked a doctors appointment to speak to them about it all Smile

I never imagined I would be in this situation! It's heartbreaking, each month that goes by gets harder and harder... I am doing okay with staying positive but it's very hard and each month I think this could be our month.

I definitely didn't think it would be this hard! The more positive you are each month the more disappointed you get!! X

@Nicsfh80 I don't think anyone thinks it'll be hard, but actually you realise on here it's not easy for a lot of people. Three months is nothing though so keep on it

My doc advised against tracking and all the other bits, says it causes more stress than anything. I'm inclined to agree. My advice would be after 6 months go to GP as waiting time for tests can be long so get ahead of the game!

Annabe11 I'm just more worried as I'll be 40 next year and feel that I'm running out of time. I know it's only been 3 months but we had tried last year for about 6 months but then stopped because my OH had an accident and was off work so too much stress with that. I know what you mean about tracking etc becoming even more stressful!!
It's really nice knowing others are in the same boat and also that it doesn't matter what age you are at the end of the day!

Annabe11 · 18/09/2019 09:06

@Nicsfh80 no it really doesn't, I know plenty of people having babies in their 40s... but if you're anxious about time then no harm in going to the docs so they can set you on track, for peace of mind if nothing else.

It is hard though, time goes so quickly too!

Annabe11 I've made an appointment with a private fertility clinic just to see if I can fast track all the tests Confused

Annabe11 · 18/09/2019 18:07

@Nicsfh80 good idea, I'm trying to do the same, been referred for a laparoscopy but there's a 6month waiting list!!!!!
