Withdrawal bleed from minipill

Hi,

Three weeks since I took my last minipill (desogetrel) and I am still to get a withdrawal bleed. I've been having cramps for 2 weeks now and keep thinking bits going to show but nothing. I also have PCOS so think this is playing a factor.

Did anyone not have a withdrawal on the minipill and just have a period? Feeling a little worried as every post I have seen people are having withdrawal in days 😣

@Hayley94 - mine took 5 weeks to do anything hun. Had all the cramping symptoms and sore boobs early on though. I was on a different pill to you and never had any sort of period when on it. I'm pretty sure after 5 weeks it was withdrawal bleed as only lasted 2 days. Apparently you can go to the doctor if nothing comes back within 3 months

5 week?! 🥺 How long for your 'real' period? X

Still waiting - tomorrow is week 6...

6 week from stopping the pill or since your withdrawal? X

6 weeks from stopping pill. Withdrawal (or whatever it was) happened bang on 5 weeks after stopping and lasted 2 days

Feels like such a long wait.. 😏

I had no withdrawal bleed at all and my first period arrived bang on 4 weeks after. My cycles are regular 27-28 days since coming off it. I was on cerazette for 5 years.

Hoping I haven't got a long wait then! How did you know the difference and know it was your period? X

After my withdrawal I didn't even wait for proper period. I just watched my cm and did ov tests. I'm now 4 weeks pg hopefully with sticky bean

I've been doing the ovulation tests, but they say I've ovulated twice already 🤔 obviously DTD but not reading into that to much! Do a pregnancy test (just incase) and was negative which I expected x

@Hayley94 it was quite heavy and painful, so exactly as my periods were before the pill and it's still like that 4 months later. I believe withdrawal bleeds are much lighter and do not last long, but I might be wrong :)

Hayley94 · 10/09/2019 13:54

Hoping mine might just come like that! I'm so inpatient x
