Positive test 6 weeks after birth

Hi everyone,

I can't really believe I'm posting this. I got a faint positive pregnancy test this morning after being tempted to test because of symptoms and having had unprotected sex. I gave birth via c-section 5 1/2 weeks ago (6 weeks on Friday).

What I am wondering is if this is a new pregnancy or leftover hormones from my pervious pregnancy? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My DH's mum conceived him 3 weeks after giving birth to his brother.

I would think you are pregnant as it's been more than 4 weeks. I have a 12 month age gap and it's been hard for me but great for them, they are best friends.

Hormones generally settle in a few weeks (unless your breast feeding)... so you may be pregnant again

I do yes, I'll post it. Sorry about the username confusion I have to use my old account to post pictures.

I'm starting to think it's maybe an evap/indent which is messing with my head slightly!

Test in a couple of days to see if it gets darker but looks like a new pregnancy!

The residual hormones from the first pregnancy will have mostly gone and wouldn't be picked up on a test so this is more than likely a new pregnancy x

There will be 12 months between mine I'm 25 weeks pregnant and my little boy is 8.5 months old... not gonna lie now I'm getting bigger it's getting hard picking him up ect but it's still wonderful!... congratulations, and also congratulations on the birth of your baby xx
