My hubby is taking Setraline which is an SSRI. I've been reading and it says that it can reduce the amount and quality of sperm. Has anyone had a partner who has been on an SSRI when ttc?

Yes and it absolutely nuked his sperm

I was really upset when he was prescribed them probably as his "mental health" issues came out of nowhere - he went to the doctor with flu and came home with anti depressants!

Everything I read about them said that it wasn't good for sperm although his doctors argued differently.....I requested his sperm get tested and low and behold I was right.....

6 months after he came off them we fell pregnant naturally after we had been referred for ivf because of his results.

His test results now are completely back to normal and Better than normal in some of them

It's not just the sperm issue either it causes erectile disfunction and massive lack of sex drive
