Are ovulation tests worth it?

I'm mid-miscarriage and trying to think about what comes next. I have been using the clue app for YEARS to track my period and have really useful data on there. Conceived first try back in June! It didn't work out but I know the ovulation window they give is accurate.

I know my cycle is going to be all out of whack when I do eventually get my period again so I've been thinking about basal temp testing and ovulation tests. Any thoughts? The ovulation tests look really expensive so I'm not too keen on trying them unless I know they are useful.

Any advice welcomed :)

My cycles are long and irregular so I found the tests useful. You can get cheap packs off the internet. Don't bother temping - I found it a massive faff! I'd use the tests again though for sure.

Sorry about your MC. You'll get there. I had a couple before my daughter so I know it's rough but it's good that you're looking forward.

I’m so sorry to hear you have miscarried.

I used ovulation sticks to give me a bit of a guide as to the best time to try & got pregnant all 3 times. We had a miscarriage but my cycle returned to normal far quicker than I expected & we conceived immediately. They definitely worked for us but may not for others. You can get cheap ones online rather than pay a fortune for a pack of 5 from boots etc..

Good luck Smile

I think so. I had some cheap ovulation sticks from Amazon (I think) which I used daily and used a more expensive Clear blue ovulation test when I got a positive cheap test so I didn't waste it. Conceived the first month I did that. Previously, just using cheap sticks, didn't conceive for three cycles.

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage Flowers

Get cheap ones, i use zoom baby.
I think they are worth it, but I wouldn’t bother with expensive ones.

I buy them from boots or Tesco they do cost a fair bit but I find them easier to read than the cheap ones. I have fell pregnant using them twice both within 2 or 3 cycles, so I definitely rate them. As others have said you could buy the cheap ones and confirm with a more expensive one.
