Hi ladies ,
So. My husband and I have had some wonderful news that we can try for our own baby after me not having to go on a medication that would’ve caused me to not be able to carry my own baby . Needless to say , we are very happy .
I went to the GP the other day to have my smear (tmi?), the nurse suddenly said ‘I can’t see your coil string’(I was going to have it removed at the same time). I have the mirena coil and have done for almost three years now and never had a problem before . I know it’s no biggie , I’m going for a vaginal ultrasound on Thursday next week . Now , I’ve been trying to google this but cannot find an answer anywhere and I know the chances are , someone will be able to somewhat relate on here - can they remove your coil whilst you’re having the scan If they can see it’s still in place but the strings are maybe a bit high, can they take it out for me there and then ?
If not , how do they do it ? Because If the strings are high up, I can’t imagine how the Drs do it ? Sorry to go off on a tangent . Anyway post removal of coil , how long did you leave it to try for a baby ? Did it happen right away for you ?
Thank you
