Who has come off the mini (progesterone only) pill?

How long has it taken to get your normal cycle and ovulation back, and to conceive? Do you have to stop right at the end of a pack or any time?

I’ve been on the mini pill/progesterone only pill for about five years now and haven’t had a proper period on it at all, just occasional bits of spotting and sore boobs.
Thinking about TTC in the next year or two maybe and wanting to get an idea of when to come off the pill and get a bit of normality back or whether to just keep taking it until ready to actually TTC?

I was on Noriday mini pill for 4 years, did have regular periods on it. Came off 15th August, withdrawal bleed on 17th and my period arrived yesterday so not long

To add I still had a week and half of tablets left in the pack when I stopped

I stopped the mini pill almost 6 months ago. I've had 4 cycles in that time. Only my most recent cycle has been a normal length and not very long (down to 32 days). Have been ttc all this time but obv no success yet. I would recommend stopping a few months before ttc at least. But that's only my experience, some people get their cycles back to normal straight away.

I stopped taking mine on 5th August, didn't have any withdrawal bleed and got my first period on 1st September. I've just started using OPK to track my ovulation. When I fell pregnant with my second and third babies it happened without me even having a period after stopping the pill

I fell pregnant on the mini pill (a complete shock as I was taking it 100% correctly) but sadly miscarried.
My OH and I have since made the decision to actively try as I'm almost 39 and don't want to leave it too late (I already have two children, he doesn't have any).
It took 6 weeks to get my first period since I came off pill and I'm not convinced I ovulated in this cycle.
Could be a combination of the miscarriage and stopping the pill though?
