Should we have sex today or tomorrow (OPK question)

Sorry to ask so bluntly!

I took an OPK just now, and the test line was slightly fainter than the control line, but a lot darker than it's been this week. It's day 18, and my cycle is usually 30, though 35 last month.

I know ovulation will happen 12-48 hours after the surge, so am I - are we, rather - better off having sex tonight or tomorrow?

Please don't say both. TTC sex is not the most romantic, we're absolutely shattered this week and I just don't think we'll manage both.

Thank you, TTC experts!

Both 😂

cricketmum84 · 06/09/2019 15:14

(Couldn't resist sorry...) but surely twice is twice the chance?

momo01 · 06/09/2019 15:19

BlushBlush we've already done it twice this week! I know that doesn't sound much, but we already have a toddler and it is EXHAUSTING.

Maybe tonight then Sunday? Sort of sandwich the ovulation?

Anyone else want to wade in? I can take a pic of the stick if helpful 😬

I did the test half an hour ago, and the test line was almost as dark as control when I looked. It's now darker. Not sure if it's because it's been left out, or if it means I am surging?

Help!

I'd do it today

cookielove · 06/09/2019 16:09

I would do it today and if too tired for tomorrow i would try again the day after Smile

Pinkstars2501 · 06/09/2019 16:14

Today. Then if you're really too tired tomorrow it shouldn't matter. Can always have another go the day after tomorrow just incase.

20viona · 06/09/2019 16:17

Both to be sure.

cricketmum84 · 06/09/2019 16:20

@momo01 well that's twice more than me and DH Grin and I don't even have a toddler to blame!

Hayley94 · 06/09/2019 16:42

Today, but try make time for tomorrow also

bengalcat · 06/09/2019 16:46

Both but go for tonight if you can only manage the once - normal sperm live for 5-7 days so better they’re there waiting for the egg so to speak .

momo01 · 06/09/2019 16:59

Ok tonight it is then. Will try again tomorrow or Sunday if we can manage it...

I very much admire anyone who has sufficient stamina to do the SMEP.
