I would be interested to know if anyone knows of any research or has experience which may suggest that spending time in the close company of a number of men (and I do simply mean spending time with them, not having sex with them!) at the time prior to and around ovulation may increase the chances of conception, e.g. by causing a stronger hormonal response than usual.
I have been wondering about this for some time. I strugged with unexplained infertility for many years and then suddenly got pregnant when we had a number of male visitors staying with us for a week. I also noticed I had much more EWCM than usual that month. A friend has also noticed that both her children were conceived when she and her DH had male friends staying.
There may well be nothing in it, and it may simply be that we were both distracted with other things and therefore relaxed. Still, I would be interested to hear from anyone.
