Soy Isoflavones for TTC thread

Is anyone already using, or thinking about using, Soy-Isoflavones to TTC?

Let’s start an SI thread, ladies!

I’m 38 and TTC DC #3. My next cycle will be cycle #3. My first 2 cycles have been anovulatory (I didn’t Ov), so I want to do everything I can next cycle to try to encourage ovulation.

I’ve been taking Vitex, Co-Q10, Myo-Inositol and various vitamins, this cycle. I’ve almost finished my bottle of Vitex, and given that I haven’t ovulated at all, I’ve decided not to continue the Vitex.

I’ve decided to give the Soy-Isoflavones a try, next cycle, as they are said to really help with better egg quality and strong ovulation, particularly for women over 35, which I am (sadly!).

I’ll be taking SI from CD3-7 at the following doses:, 120mg, 120mg, 160mg, 160mg, 200mg.

I’d love to hear from ladies that are using SI now, have used them in the past, or are considering using them in the future.

Let’s make some soy babies! Xxx

I’ve used soy isoflavones 4 times and each time they significantly delayed my ovulation. The second time I used them I fell pregnant (later had a mmc) then I used them twice more with no luck so I don’t think it had anything to do with the soy to be honest. It can impact your cycles negatively if you ovulate regularly so just keep that in mind as that was just my experience of them. I wouldn’t use them again.

Hi @coconuttymummy I've looked at using SI as we are ttc#2 and have been for 22 months I got pregnant last month but had a mmc. I take the same supplements as you have mentioned but I also take DHEA it was recommended to me by a fertility consultant and I truly believe it helped me conceive DS1. Unfortunately you can't take DHEA and SI together so I'm holding off at the moment but I wanted to mention "it starts with an egg" to you it's got a "recipe list" for age groups in which helps with supplements. I'm 41 btw.
