Faint line help me!

wannabemummy123 · 27/08/2019 20:32

I've been getting lines exactly like that for over a week now. Not getting any darker. On a few different brands. (There's two photos) But FRER comes negative and so does a CB so confused 😩 also did a blood test which came back "no further action"

Can anyone help or give any advice

Did the top two stay with the pink flooding or did that clear away to white within the timeframe? I've had a line on flooded test before but never on a test that cleared away to a white background. X

wannabemummy123 · 27/08/2019 22:20

@Irishgene Yes. Both cleared

I'm pretty much the same at the moment. Been getting very faint lines on cheapie test for the last few days, negative on FRER and I did a Sainsbury's test this morning which had a very faint line but it showed up
after the 10 minutes 🤷‍♀️ Not much help I know, but you're not alone!

wannabemummy123 · 27/08/2019 23:52

@Crazymummyto3 thank you. Nice to know someone else is in the same boat... also just noticed very large veins in my boobs !! So wierd !!

Crazymummyto3 · 28/08/2019 02:25

@wannabemummy123 Same here about the veins in my boobs, that's always been a sign for me before plus I'm still breastfeeding my youngest on a night and it's so sore when she's feeding too. Trying not to let myself read too much into it though 😬

Alicewond · 28/08/2019 02:33

It doesn’t look like a pregnancy. Maybe see your go for a blood test, if the readings are so light you could have been pregnant but miscarried?

Alicewond · 28/08/2019 02:33

Gp

wannabemummy123 · 29/08/2019 00:16

Got another faint line this evening...

OP posts:
Alicewond · 29/08/2019 01:59

None of them look like your pregnant, especially as the results should have gotten stronger over time, but see a gp for a blood test if you’re unsure

wannabemummy123 · 29/08/2019 02:04

@Alicewond they're very faint but deffo there

OP posts:
Alicewond · 29/08/2019 02:09

But they aren’t, and if you believe it then go see a doctor

wannabemummy123 · 29/08/2019 09:25

@Alicewond who the actual hell do you think you are talking to people like that?? You shouldn't be on sites like this !! I've had numerous people tell me the line is there and I have had numerous people tell me there are lines on other tests I have done with other brands also..! Where do you get off telling me I need a doctor? Bloody rude!

OP posts:
taytosandwich · 29/08/2019 09:58

Honestly I think those cheap tests are getting worse. A few years ago when I was TTC it was v rare to get a false positive. This time around it seems like every cheap test gives some kind of pink line. If you aren't getting a positive on more expensive tests and particularly with a blood test I think it's probably best to consider yourself not pregnant for the sake of your emotional wellbeing.

wwwork · 29/08/2019 11:54

@wannabemummy123 sorry you're feeling frustrated but I don't really see how @Alicewond is being unreasonable? They're suggesting a doctor so that they take your bloods as that's the most accurate way to figure out what's going on with your hormone levels? I don't think there was a need to go off. If you believe you're pregnant but the lines are very faint/not getting darker then a blood test is recommended.

wwwork · 29/08/2019 11:59

@wannabemummy123 sorry I've also just read the comments again and see you've already had your bloods done that came back negative. As someone has already said, for your emotional health it's probably best to move on and accept that this month wasn't your time. You'll make yourself feel worse the more you POAS

wannabemummy123 · 29/08/2019 12:08

@wwwork that wasn't how it come across. If you think they're positive I should see a doctor. Being sarcastic

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 29/08/2019 12:52

Sorry OP I don't think Alice was being sarcastic and you're response was pretty rude in itself - you're the one asking for advice from strangers and we re doing our best here looking at grainy photos of tests - if you don't like the advice/feedback given then maybe you're the one who shouldn't be on these sites not Alice

You've had a blood test which is as accurate as it can get - unless you start getting darker lines I would say you haven't been successful this month

(If your blood test has come back no result it doesn't mean that your hcg level is 0 - some women - especially older ones or ones approaching menopause (I'm not saying this is you!) have a natural hcg level higher than 0 which can be detected by many tests and give a false reading)

ForGoodnessCake · 29/08/2019 13:32

Sorry if you've already mentioned, new here.

Have you missed your period yet or are you testing early, I can definitely see lines on all of the tests.

WhoArtinHeaven · 29/08/2019 15:25

I can see very faint lines. But if they're not getting darker with time (over a significant amount of time, like a week) and a blood test came back negative then I would assume not pregnant or you have had a chemical pregnancy. I'm sorry if that isn't what you want to hear.

Tweetingmagpie · 29/08/2019 15:28

Those cheap tests are awful I would stop using them.

Wait another few days do a first response and if it’s negative go to the doctor and see if there’s any other reason you are late. Are your periods usually regular?

wannabemummy123 · 29/08/2019 15:28

I am not yet due. A have a few days before af is due.

OP posts:
Young21 · 29/08/2019 15:37

How many DPO would you say you are or is your period yet to come? I can see lines on all the tests but I've also had problems with the cheap test strips and believe mine were evap lines or false positives... So consider they may be working incorrectly.

How long ago did you get your bloods checked? You could always go back to your GP and ask to do a regular test there to see what they think of the tests Vs bloods (I'm just giving suggestions to help you) but I think if the bloods came back negative it's usually a definite negative, sorry chicken xx

PinkShake · 29/08/2019 16:03

Wow OP, YOU are the rude one here. Really unnecessary to get so angry at Alice.

I can't see lines but everyone else seems to - only thing to do about it now is wait and test again in a week maybe? Clearblue digitals are great, and no messing around with faint lines on those... Best of luck!

Tweetingmagpie · 29/08/2019 16:19

Oh ok, when did you have bloods done then? And why? (Just curious, usually bloods are taken when you are really late and tests are coming up negative)

Tweetingmagpie · 29/08/2019 16:20

I wouldn’t bother with the clear blue digital until you have a decent line on a normal test, they aren’t very sensitive, first response are the best, but really if there is a line you will be able to see it without holding it under light or taking the test apart! Easier said than done I know!
