Hello,

Yesterday (CD13) I got a positive OPK, cheapie and pink clear blue (static smiley) at about 2pm.
So we dtd last night.

Today, I got another positive, probably even stronger looking at the strips at about 5:30pm.

What does this mean and which day do I start counting dpo?

This happened to me the month I conceived my DD 3 years ago. I wasn’t sure which day to count DPO from either, but tested and got a BFP once I knew for sure period was late- at 15 or 16 DPO.

Yeah it's confusing as to which day I take as ov day. I am CD14 today. Gonna dtd tonight hopefully as well Wink

Should I keep doing OPKs?

Hi @pottypotamus the exact same thing has happened to me this week, I’m also so confused! My first time using the OPK so we’ve DTD every day just to be sure...

Yes I was def wanting to dtd every night but think I exhausted my DH Confused , so taking a break tonight. Even though I feel like we're missing out on the one of my most fertile days Sad

@pottypotamus Did you do an OPK today? Has it gone negative now? X

pottypotamus · 28/08/2019 14:59

@MajorFaffington
I did one this morning and it was negative. But I know you're supposed to do them afternoon/early evening so I'll do another one when I get home.

Very strange...so I did OPKs this evening after work, a cheapie and a clear blue. The cheapie was clearly negative but the clear blue is still showing a static smiley Hmm

And these were both dipped in the same urine sample.

Well that’s weird. I know the dual hormone Clearblue tests automatically show the static smiley for 48 hours or something, not sure if the normal one does the same?

They also test for a rise in LH level compared to your “base” level, so it might be that your level is still higher than normal but not enough for a positive on the internet cheapie. Hmm I don’t really know.

I actually stopped using the Clearblue tests and stuck with the internet cheapies in the end because I think they can be a bit weird sometimes- I got a false positive the cycle I conceived which was far too early in my cycle, no EWCM, negative internet cheapie. I got the two positive internet cheapie tests a couple of weeks later (I have long cycles) and based on my dating scan the internet cheapies were right.

Yes I agree, I find the clear blue give strange results some times. I saw that they give smiley for 48 hours regardless. But this is three days in a row now. That was the last clear blue test any way. Don't think I'm gonna bother getting any more. Just going to continue with the cheapies.
Thanks for all your advice Smile
