Hi all,

Tried searching on internet but have had no luck!

Just need opinions really or if I need a morning after pill.

Specifics, I've been on the pill now for at least 6 years! Had sex last Saturday night/ Sunday morning early hours whatever you want to call it.

Other half ejaculated. I took a pill the following Sunday morning after but then forgot to take it Monday and Tuesday... Not sure why it left my mind completely ... it's not like me at all.

I have been continuing to take it fine for the past week though.

Is there any risk?

Thanks would really appreciate it x

Sorry, my question is do you think there is any risk from Saturday night? Thanks x

Saturday just gone, or the one before? You've mentioned Tuesday so I'm guessing you mean 17th/18th? I don't think the morning after pill would be effective now, although the coil or something may be.

I'd be worried if it was me, if I'm honest.

@AnchorDownDeepBreath hi, it's the Saturday just gone. So yes 17th/ 18th. I took the pill the following morning but forgot on the Monday and Tuesday Sad

I am on the pill where I have a 7 day break (have a period for 7 days) I was on the 10th day of the pill when I had sex.

X

RJonezy · 26/08/2019 18:21

Thanks

This is what I'm on. Inside there is a leaflet that tells you at what point you are ok to miss a pill and when there is an issue. Do you have the leaflet?

RJonezy · 26/08/2019 18:39

@Cabezona yes I think so- I'll take a look thanks!

The leaflet only says if you have missed one straight after .. Sad ah well I'll just have to see what happens?!?!

Would it be the end of the world if you were pregnant?

Would you consider a coil fitting to prevent pregnancy, if that's still an option?

It's really hard. From what I've seen online, you're not protected, there's a chance of pregnancy. It's not the pill I take, so I have nothing anecdotal about how likely that is.

RJonezy · 26/08/2019 19:13

@AnchorDownDeepBreath it wouldn't be the end of the world, no. It's not the right time as in I'm not in a job that pays maternity and partner not on great salary but when is a good time?

I will continue to take my pill until end of the month and see if I come on I guess ..

You will bleed anyway as it's a chemical bleed. Take a test at the relevant point. Last time I missed one it was really clear with miss at this point and you're at risk, miss at this and it doesn't matter.

Cabezona · 26/08/2019 19:35

Can you read this? In week 2 it says remember to take ASAP. If one tablet missed no more preventative measures needed. If two, use other contraception for 7 days.

RJonezy · 26/08/2019 20:13

Thank you @Cabezona I could read that x does that not mean the risk is higher if you miss to take it immediately the next day though? I took the next day (Sunday) but just missed Monday and Tuesday.

God I am so not clued up, I need to change this!! Xxx

I honestly wouldn't be worried x

Cabezona · 26/08/2019 22:44

The risk is higher because you missed the second day also but if you have been safe for seven days after you reduce any risk.

I'd think about other methods unless this was a one off. The coil or implant for example.
