Hello all I'm new here but have been reading plenty! Just thought I'd post on here while I'm waiting for that elusive positive...

Had sex during my ovulation window but as I only started trying I stupidly hadn't record last months AF dates properly. Was using ovulation strips so know it was within range.

A few days ago had what I expect was implantation bleeding- pink mucus at first followed by a little pinkish bleeding and brown discharge. Stopped by day three. My cycles aren't super regular (usually between 28-32 days though) but I ALWAYS bleed for six days and it's always heavy. This wasn't at all.

Also accompanied by cramps with a pulling sensation, fatigue and a headache/backache or two. Mostly, I'm generally super intuitive with everything and I know my own body really well - I always know when I ovulate even without testing - and I KNOW something is off.

So far testing negative but seems too early based on most posts I've read. Thoughts?

My guess is as good as anyone's, and it sounds like you could be, but until you get a BFP (or AF) it's just a case of waiting. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply! Yeah I'm driving myself crazy as I'm unsure on my dates thanks to not making a note last month... Argh.

I'm guessing a week from now might be ok to test? AF definitely should have come by then and Im guessing if that was implantation it's enough time...

When did you get your positive ovulation test?

creepin · 26/08/2019 20:53

It was the week of the fifth... Later in the week I think. Around the 8th or so maybe

If you got a positive ovulation test on 8th August, you’d usually ovulate by 10th August. So you would be at least 16dpo today and period would be (over)due by now.

When were the bleeding/symptoms you experienced?

If you’re still testing negative, depending on when the bleeding/symptoms were, it could be that you implanted late and the the HCG levels haven’t had chance to build up enough to test positive yet?

creepin · 27/08/2019 07:06

Yeah I was a couple of days late from when I think AF was due, but can't be sure... bleeding started on the evening of the 20th and was done by 23rd. So I guess three full days since bleed stopped but still testing negative... was thinking maybe it might take a little longer if that was indeed implantation bleeding? So hard to guess when I'm so unsure of my dates, I know...

It doesn’t really matter when your last period was, as the first part of your cycle can vary- as long as you have an idea of when you ovulated, you can expect AF roughly two weeks later.

creepin · 27/08/2019 15:50

So based on that two weeks would have been the 22nd... with what I thought was implantation bleeding on the 20th instead. Totally second guessing myself now the cramping has stopped, but it was so distinct I was sure I'd see a positive by now! Definitely never had a period like that. Not sure when to throw in the towel on this one....!

It’s a mystery! Let us know how you get on x

Looks like a negative! So crazy. Genuinely surprised at the result considering everything! Next month here we go!
