In my experience it’s a positive sign though that the second line is there, and over the coming days it should darken until you get a positive.

Hope so! Got lots of ewcm today and his is the darkest the line has ever been. First month testing. I've had them go dark and then fade again all week - might test again tonight before bed just in case 🙈

Hi I would still count that as negative, although close! Are you really hydrated or testing with first morning urine?

Also, how long after dipping was that? I usually have to give it 15 mins for the full colour to come out

Second per of the day at 10am 😬 not particularly hydrated just had my morning coffee.
I find these incredibly infuriating- so close but so far haha. Hoping for positive today please god!!

It's as positive as mine ever got and I'm 25 weeks pregnant after using the same kind of OPK.

Interesting! Ladies just in case this does get stronger, in terms of dtd what should we do. We have done it the past 2 nights and I'm aware that consecutive nights may not actually be most effective? Is that true? Should we hold off or go ahead?

I never got a positive OPK but I'm 31 weeks pregnant now, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Mine only ever got that dark & I’m pregnant. They never went the same colour as the control line.. I can only assume I had an unusual surge pattern. I used to test twice a day..

We personally DTD every other day but I don’t think it matters unless your partner has a known issue with sperm count. I just personally am not onboard so much for every day, we have a toddler. We are knackered

Yes! You finally got a positive! Expect to ovulate within the next 24-36 hours. Sperm takes a while to reach where it needs to be so start DTD now and do it for the next three or four days!

Yay! So as a TTC novice (I do have an almost 11 month old but she was conceived with not even attempting), I'm just wondering how do people actually know the day of ovulation? When they talk about dpo- is it possible to tell?

The glow app analyses these tests for you and tells you if positive or negative- worth downloading to track them OP!

The app is called glow, I'm sure there's another that analyses but I can't remember which one. I used glow and it was fab

DPO is generally just a guess unless you’re temping: taking your body temperature in quite a specific way each day. Temping confirms ovulation has occurred. However I didn’t bother as I just went with the assumption that my O day was the day after a positive OPK. You can start temping if you really want to get to know your cycle and know for sure you’re ovulating but this early on I wouldn’t bother, just proceed assuming you’re about to ovulate! It won’t make any difference which specific day if is after a positive OPK as sex two days before is just as optimum as the day before (which fascinates me!), three days before is still a good chance, and the day of ovulation is still possible to conceive (but much better to just have lots of sex around when you’re due to ovulate anyway in case you miss the surge by testing at the wrong time of day).

According to the positive opk I got I would now be 10dpo- tested with frer this morning and BFN! Is that it over do you think? I've got lots of twinges in my ovaries the past week especially on left side but that's about it for symptoms. I was so convinced this month was gonna Work as there was nothing else we could have done!
