Positive OPK - 4 days away from af

Hi ladies!

I seem to have a positive opk, correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to have 2 rather dark lines. I am 4 days away from AF And picked up my ovulation a couple of weeks back, I knew because of temp and ewcm.

Could this be picking up a very early pregnancy?

@May2311 aww Thankyou I get excited to see others too! It will be you soon you are deffo not out yet might just be too early depends on the amount of hormone doesn't it 💪🏼

I personally think it's a good sign to get a positive opk right at the end of your cycle, have you done one again?

Yeah I was doing 2/3 a day whenever I remembered to grab my pee cup 😂🙈 so how many days late are you now? X

@Emmaaa1990 so AF was due Friday. So I’m 2 days late now.

I has a strong positive Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday it was still strong but would class as negative.

I got my original +OPK on Sunday 11th but it was late at night (11pm) so I have said I ovulated on 12th or 13th at the latest. I have a 12 day luteral phase.

I would have thought the HCG levels would be strong enough by now as I should be 13DPOish.

Well I will just see what happens- I get more annoyed that I’m having to wait for AF as if I’m not pregnant it means I have to wait longer to try next month! I’ve just ordered next months supply of sticks so I’m ready😂

@May2311 oh I really hope it doesn't show still! It's a good sign that nothings happened yet!

It really varies from woman to woman doesn't it like so many don't find out for ages and some find out really early! It's annoying there isn't a sure sign that you've conceived save all this am I aren't I 🙄 needs to be invented so we don't have to wait for a hormone buildup

I've told my partner he was excited, I thought he would be annoyed I tested early but he didn't care! I did another test this morning but clear blue and there was no denying it!

No sign of AF whatsoever! I’m not even having any cramps or anything anymore. I don’t know what to think.

I am trying not to stress over it too much. I’ll probably wait till next weekend and maybe try testing again( I don’t want to obsess over testing over and over)

Our bodies are so strange sometimes! Like I’m never late and then I start TTC and it decides to play tricks on me!!

A part of me is still worried AF will show having some cramps but I know that's normal for pregnancy too.

That is so weird! Yeah you don't wanna obsess although it's hard not too so I completely get it! Yeah of all the times to mess up now is not the time.

I'm really praying for you, stay as relaxed as possible and let me know 😘 x

@Emmaaa1990 thank you😊 I do actually feel more relaxed now- I think it’s because I have got the negative and have accepted it so will just have to wait it out!

Try not to worry it’s a good strong positive and cramps are completely normal.

Keep letting me know how you get on! when do you think you will start telling family/friends?

Erm probably give it a few weeks til I feel more confident with it all. I would like an early scan ideally just for peace of mind too!

Still no AF and still BFN as of yesterday😣 I have now decided that I must have not ovulated until last week when I had the positive OPK( even though I thought I had positive OPK on 11th!) . So I should be due Thursday time next week. If I still don't get AF, I am going to ring doctors on Friday.

Oh wow how strange is that?! Yeah maybe you did ovulate later than you thought! I've read before that sometimes you get positive OPK's but it may not mean you ovulate it's your body gearing up to but maybe it didn't. That could be why you had a later positive again Cos it's trying again.

So confusing tho isn't it! I really hope it all works out though and everything is okay for you!

Yeah I'm officially 4 days late now, my boobs are ridiculously sore tho 😫 but I think it's slowly starting to sink in 😊

So was planning on going to doctors today so thought I better do another test as they will ask. This happened.... in total shock!!!!

@Emmaaa1990 definitely took its time!!! Totally in shock- hubby knew before I even said it😂 Must have been my face!! May babies indeed 💕 perfect time of year- not too hot not too cold! 😂 Now the nervous wait begins till first scan!

I have no idea what to do next- I'm presuming contact G.P but how early are you supposed to do that?

Awww! I'm so glad!!! Yeah I thought exactly the same! I would hate to be heavily pregnant in summer 🙈

I had no idea what to do but my friend has had babies and sent me a link to self refer myself to a midwife. I'm not sure where you live but I'm based in rochford Essex so I've referred myself through Southend hospital I did that last night and I'm 5 weeks tomorrow. Apparently it can take abit to her an appointment so deffo get the back rolling!

I've also booked in an early scan for 19th so will be 7 weeks just for peace of mind to check everything's okay before the 12 weeks I just googled early scan places and did it privately 😊 xx

@Emmaaa1990 I'm in the North East ( a little place called Stockton). I've just rang doctors and they gave me the midwife number so I've rang her and all booked in for next Wednesday! Super quick!! She says I'm 6 weeks on Friday. I explained the situation about BFN after missed period etc but she said regardless of when you conceived they go by first day of last period. It feels scary if I'm "classed" as 6 weeks!!!

@Emmaaa1990 no symptoms really- the only thing I would say is my boobs feel different but I don't know why😂 the odd achy/cramp but I'm guessing that just normal. You getting anymore symptoms? X

@May2311 yeah definitely normal 👍🏼 well last couple of days I've been starving and I cannot get full, weeing abit more too, boobs are also ridiculously sore. I think my hormones are so high tho Cos I picked up the test early didn't I 🙈 feel like it's starting to kick in at 5 weeks already 🙈

My partner keeps joking about twins I'm like oh god not sure how I feel about that 😂 x

@Emmaaa1990 😂😂😂😂 you might be right!! My sister has twin girls - they are 2.5years absolutely gorgeous!!! Although understandably hard work. She is just finishing the potty training stage.... she ended up doing one at a time as she found it too hard watching both at once 😂

@May2311 I mean I want 2 children so it would be job done but I'm not sure how I feel about pushing 2 out! I always worry that if I did have twins I wouldn't know which one was which I unless they were boy/girl!

Haha that sounds hectic but I can imagine it's lovely at the same time knowing how close they will be!

I'm around 6/7 dpo now and feeling exhausted, occasional cramps and twinges, very achy and have sore boobs but it might be wishful thinking. This thread has got me really excited

@Emmaaa1990 😂😂😂 yes my mum even though she has them full time whilst my sister is at work gets them mixed up. I can tell the difference- it's mainly their personalities so if you ended up having 2 little beans in there I imagine they will be the same and have different personalities!
