TTC but no periods and still BFN

Guys, I need a bit help here. DH and I have been TTC since a month. AF was due on 20th Aug but hasn't arrived yet, HPT show BFN. AF has never been delayed in so many years. Really confused

@samy30 I had similar, AF was late but tests were negative, this went on for about 3 weeks! I was given a blood test yesterday, but AF showed up this morning! I'm confused when I even ovulated 😂 when was your ovulation? Hope you get BFP soon! 🤞

Hi @Laur2017 My ovulation was supposed to be 6th Aug and there was very light spotting on 10th Aug. I am really confused whether ovulation was delayed and if it was indeed ovulation spotting although that never happened to me before.

You must be so disappointed after AF after 3 weeks of contemplation as to what is happening to your body. Did the doctor mention why you got so late this cycle? Hope you get your BFP real soon!!

It could well have been ovulation spotting. I have had ovulation spotting but only twice, ever. Years apart. So it isn’t necessarily something that occurs regularly, and this may just be the first time it has happened to you.

@MajorFaffington yeah it must be. Although i keep stressing if I haven't conceived, why hasn't AF arrived. Maybe the stress is delaying the arrival

@samy30 I was actually really happy when AF turned up this month.. it means that I can go back to knowing roughly what's going on and when I'm going to ovulate so we can continue trying! Had a miscarriage last month although it was very very early days. Also got pcos so the doc said it might be that - even though the last few months my cycles have been regular! 🤷‍♀️ Have you been tracking ovulation with OPK? If you ovulated late maybe it's just taking longer for the BFP to show up 😁

@samy30 If it was ovulation spotting on 10th, that means you ovulated 4 days later than you thought. That means period will be 4 days later too.

Perhaps try testing again tomorrow when period is due?

@MajorFaffington you were so right. AF arrived today. Pretty weird that the month I decide to conceive, my cycles get messed up @Laur2017 like you even I am relieved that now i can plan for next month. No AF and BFNs were messing me up. All the best to all of us for next month. Hope we see our BFPs soon 🤗

@samy30 Sorry it wasn’t your month, but glad you have got to the bottom of it! My cycles went insane as soon as I even thought about TTC 🤣

Glad you know what's going on now @samy30, although I'm sorry it's not a BFP! Is it your first? Fingers crossed we both see BFP this month. AF is leaving now so hopefully I won't miss ovulation! 🤞

@Laur2017 yes this is my first time and I can't be more excited...really hope we both get our BFPs next month...Can't believe that something that seemed so easy, actually needs so much planning...will be surely using an OPK too...loads of baby dust our way...

Congratulations @MajorFaffington! Hope you're feeling ok, last few weeks are tiring! @samy30 got my fingers crossed for both of us that September will be our month! I've been taking myo inositol to help regulate my periods, worked for me within 3 months with my DS! 🤞
