Stupid question - Conception

Ok so I'm feeling a bit stupid right now so need some advice.

I started a new pill in January and never really got on with it, my periods would never come on the week break and would be unpredictable, GP advice was to carry on taking and hopefully my body will get used to it.

Well I have just found out I am pregnant, but I cant remember my last period. I think I had a light bleed in June, But as I say they have been so messed up. So my question is what do I do? (Told you it was stupid) but will the hospital be able to work it out for me, I am worried I will say June then be further along than I thought and miss the tests etc.

Sorry it's long i am just worried because i was taking the pill as usual, going out drinking etc and scared I've harmed my baby. Any advice will be appreciated.

I worked in the maternity unit for a while, a lot of women would come in with these worries. A simple bloody test to measure your HCG levels would give an indication of how far along you are and then I'm sure they would out you through for a scan.

Call your local hospital tomorrow and ask to be out through to 'maternity triage' midwifes will be there to give you any advice you need - no question is stupid they have heard it all x

If you explain you were on the pill when you conceived so you don't have a clue how far along you are they'll understand and probably send you for a dating scan sooner rather than later.
