Hi! Long time lurker, first time poster!
Found out on Saturday that DH and I are expecting, hooray! We'd decided to start "trying" properly later on in the year and have been avoiding ovulation etc but something snuck through!
I don't feel comfortable sharing with f&f yet but have a few questions and wondered if anyone could help?
By my reckoning we conceived under 3 weeks ago, I did a clearblue today and it's saying 3+, has that happened to anyone else? My FRER tests were BRIGHT pink on the pg line.
AF was 3 days late in July and wasn't her usual self (3-4 days light as opposed to 5 days fairly heavy) so I'm wondering if that was implantation bleed? I still don't have any real symptoms/signs yet so can't imagine I'm 9weeks along?
We're having our big wedding celebration in a few weeks and I'm now terrified my (very) fitted dress won't fit - and everyone will guess when I'm not drinking, anyone got any fail safe excuses?
Also, I'm pretty scared of MC risk. I had one chemical in my early 20's and not TTC until now (36). There's no question there, just wanted to put it out.
Thanks for letting me brain dump 😊

I just want to say a huge congratulations!
Drinking: you could just have a few sparkling waters and tell people it's g and t.
After they've had a few, they won't notice!
Also, re the chemical pregnancy... Each pregnancy is different. There is no reason to think anything will go wrong.

Congrats!

I’d drink tonic water and say it’s a g&t. I’d avoid rounds but if someone did manage to get me a drink I’d make DP sneakily drink it (and prepare myself for a very drunk DP 😂). For the speeches I’d have a sip of champers/prosecco/wine/whatever is being served for speeches.

With the tests - frer are very sensitive so you do tend to get good lines even before AF is due. The weeks indicator is not hugely reliable on CB digitals so don't take that as necessarily correct. Do mention this to the midwife though along with the details of your LMP as maybe you do need an early scan to date you correctly - you could well be further than you think.
With weight gain - I didn't gain weight in my first pregnancy until well into the second trimester and even in my second, although I bloated quite a lot to begin with, I didn't gain weight until after 16/17 weeks when my bump started to pop. No bump with my first until about 23/24 weeks. So hopefully your fitted dress will still fit!
Congratulations!

Congratulations! Agree with all the above. I was a bridesmaid at 5 weeks pregnant and my dress needed altering I stacked weight very quickly everywhere haha 🙈

Thanks all for the help and advice, much appreciated!
Boobs have changed overnight, DH was quite delighted with what he saw this morning!
Eating as healthily as I can (hard given DH is a very bad snacked and I'm constantly starving!!) so fingers crossed the dress will fit - will get some Spanx just in case Smile
