Thought the old one was getting a bit full so I'd start a new one. I'll attempt tagging as many as I can

@Kiza any sign of AF? I'm still only spotting 4 days later 🤨 No full blown AF. Normally spot for a day or two but that's maximum. Although am under stress this week - buying a house. Just want AF to get it over with and move on to next cycle!

Lozzlepop · 17/10/2019 07:29

@Absa I don’t usually spot before AF but last time I had spotting for 6 days before AF 😒

Absa · 17/10/2019 07:38

@Lozzlepop it's such a nuisance isn't it?! it just leaves you constantly feeling like you have to check, it obviously means it will longer before we can try again etc. Grrrrr Mother Nature!

MIW01 · 17/10/2019 08:19

Thank you @Lozzlepop oh no, norovirus awful as both ends! Oh Wave of Light sounds lovely, sorry I missed it this year. Will remember for next year. Sounds like a good plan.

So AF arrived last night, 2 days late! So I'm definitely out this month. The bug means I've gone off a lot of food I usually eat and I follow a low carb, whole food plan so I've started eating things I normally wouldn't like cereals and whole grains just so I don't feel so hungry all the time so think this is messing with my health and hormones.

Kiza · 17/10/2019 09:27

@MIW01 sorry to hear AF fully arrived, because you've been ill maybe your body is just craving extra things for a short period to gain energy?
@Absa annoying spotting also. Some months I get spotting some I don't, sometimes it's for a day, sometimes for a whole week, although the Accupuncture has reduced it but I'm now into 3 days spotting.
Like you I just want bloody AF to arrive so can keep next months fertile window free for SMEP again 😆

Absa · 18/10/2019 07:33

Please help!

Still spotting 5 days later but it's very light and no sign of AF so just tested...
yesterday was DH birthday and we bought a house (has offer accepted) which has been incredibly stressful decision. Not entirely sure if I'm just going a bit mad? I have no symptoms at all.

@Absa can definitely see a line on both of those! Fingers crossed for you it's a sticky one!

Anny27 · 18/10/2019 07:48

@absa thats a positive in my eyes!!!! Congrats

Absa · 18/10/2019 07:48

Would it be possible to get a false positive due to the spotting?

Absa · 18/10/2019 07:49

Or could the spotting have been implantation?

Anny27 · 18/10/2019 07:55

Yeah it definitley could have been implantation @absa :D

Absa · 18/10/2019 07:58

Right then! Now I just have to decide when to tell DH ... may wait a few more days just to be sure as still spotting so may wait until that stops / test again then tell him. Today we have to sort out solicitor and mortgage... think adding another big life change into the mix may be too much for him!!

Absa · 18/10/2019 07:59

Although would like to say this is very much planned, it's just I told him 5 days ago I was upset because period was coming / had started as I had all my usual symptoms of spotting etc. So he'll probably have put this month out of his mind!

Kiza · 18/10/2019 13:14

@Absa wow that's a definite positive, knowing your cycles do you think you ovulated later than you originally thought? That's the only way I can see it as being implantation bleeding.
Otherwise it's a positive with some spotting which I know can happen for some women.
Another forum I was on a woman said she had spotting for most of her first trimester, baby and her were completely fine but understandably she struggled to relax until the spotting stopped.

Absa · 18/10/2019 14:06

I don't think so as we actually only had sex once more after I thought I O'd as back from holiday / tired / back to work. And that time was 2 days before spotting started. So I think we must have caught it when I thought my fertile window was when we were away and perhaps this is just a bit of random spotting but hopefully nothing to worry about. Weirdly now it's pretty much completely stopped today. Have a panty liner on and nothing there all day. So I'll test again when I get home and see 🤞! But am going with the theory that this must be IT!

Kiza · 18/10/2019 14:17

@Absa eeek exciting! Are you going to hold off telling DH?

Absa · 18/10/2019 14:21

@Kiza I don't really know what to do - part of me wants to tell him &part of me wants to wait a few more days. We are super busy at the mo having just had an offer accepted on a house yesterday and need to sort a few things out to fully secure it / get the process going which will probably take a few days just with the solicitors etc. So I kinda think I'll wait a few days so we can get settled with that.

But at the same time I want to share the news with him so he can't be a part of my "house" stress and understand the reason I want this to get going / go smoothly now more than ever!

Will see what kinda mood he's in later....!

Absa · 18/10/2019 18:20

Okay. So chat with mortgage team today, one question is "do you think you're income or circumstances are likely to change in the foreseeable future"?!?! Haha! No of course ... to them.
Anyway, got off the phone and DH could tell there was something up with me and I'm useless at keeping secrets.
So I told him I thought I might be pregnant, explained about the spotting and not getting AF.
His instant reaction was "don't do a test" because he doesn't want a solid answer / to know we are lying. Told me not to say anything until January / we're in the new place! Hahahaha!
So!!
Not exactly the reaction I was after .... asked him if he was happy which he is / will be very excited. But just not today. I obviously picked the wrong day. Then went and hid the test last from this morning st the bottom of the bin 🙁

Lemonysherbet · 18/10/2019 18:44

Hey ladies,

Still occasionally check in on here hope you don't mind me popping back in :)

@Absa congrats!! There's never a good time for babies so I'm sure you'll work around it :) just play dumb for a couple of months 😂

How's everyone doing?

Kiza · 18/10/2019 19:05

@Absa haha totally don't tell the mortgage company! And try to lock in to a long term deal so you wouldn't have to declare until you remortgage.

Really hope it's a sticky bean for you and you can get to fully tell your DH soon ☺️

AF has now fully arrived for me 🤷🏼‍♀️ on to the next month

Absa · 18/10/2019 19:23

@Kiza good advice :) will follow!

Rubbish for you about AF. You sound like you're remaining nice and positive though which is good :)

MIW01 · 18/10/2019 20:44

Congratulations @Absa definitely see a faint line. Hope it's a sticky one!

orangeloo · 19/10/2019 07:58

@Absa congratulations!! I think my DP would be the same in that situation.

Absa · 19/10/2019 08:08

Thanks guys and thanks @orangeloo for your comment. I know his thought process as he will be feeling the pressure of moving to a much bigger house and mortgage and now it's real that he'll be funding it alone... although we can afford this and have spent months looking at finances it's probably just a bit too real for him. We're seeing mortgage advisor today to get some of the process nailed down so I think once we have solid paperwork he'll be ok with discussing it!

Larrydavid · 19/10/2019 08:16

@Absa congratulations on the BFP!! Moving house is really stressful - I'm sure it will all be excitement once everything has gone through x
