Thought the old one was getting a bit full so I'd start a new one. I'll attempt tagging as many as I can

@orangeloo yes I agree and I can think of some other ways myself! I don't think most people understand how devastating it is until there is a possibility it may affect them.
3 years is just such a long time to wait to try and get some answers. My GP told me it's 1 year before they will start to investigate, I never told him how long we had been trying though. I know I'm early days yet but if I need to I will go earlier than the 1 year mark just because of how long the waiting times are.

ValidUser · 12/10/2019 12:49

Thanks @Lozzlepop. Feeling a little calmer today! ❤️

@orangeloo that's a disgrace! There's not really much public fertility stuff in Ireland, so I went private straight away. Is that an option for you? (It shouldn't have to be, by the way.)

ValidUser · 12/10/2019 13:17

Heparin injections next time I'm pregnant!

ValidUser · 12/10/2019 13:41

Innohep, I mean. Low molecular weight heparin.

Realised my last message was just repeating myself. 😂

MIW01 · 12/10/2019 23:00

@orangeloo 3 years is ludicrous! We've been told nice states 2 but in our are you have to have had your 1st app after referral BEFORE the woman is 35 and I turned 34 in September so our GP has assured us that due to this, my family history of early menopause and low progesterone and DPs sperm motility issues we will be referred in good time if not pregnant by the new year!

@ValidUser lol at the shag comment but so sorry to hear about your results.

@larrydavid @lozzlepop turns out we had campylobacter! Received this message from GP on Thursday.

"Your stool sample has come back with a bacteria called Campylobacter in it. This normally gets better on it's own, but is something we need to notify the health protection agency about. They might contact you to try and work out where the infection came from. Any problems, please let us know. "

No wonder we didn't feel up to DTD! Luckily back on form now and will try SMEP again for November. AF due on Monday!

orangeloo · 13/10/2019 09:15

@MIW01 my mum and dad had campylobacter years ago. They caught it from cleaning up after our poorly puppy. Glad you feeling better now.

Kiza · 14/10/2019 16:37

AF due Thursday and had a teeny tinge of pink on the toilet paper this afternoon... think I'm out again this month. @Absa how are you getting on? Have you been tempted to test?

Absa · 14/10/2019 16:37

FFS, looks like my usual spotting today that I get a couple of days before AF. 4 days early after after 2 weeks of relaxed holiday sex. Urrrrggghhhh!

Absa · 14/10/2019 16:38

@Kiza literally exactly the same. Tiny bit of pink and now tiny bit of brown. Grrrrr!

Kiza · 14/10/2019 16:51

@Absa it's gutting isn't it, I try not to get down thinking it's been over a year now. I'm popping supplements like they're going out of fashion, sticking myself with needles for Accupuncture, having marathon sex session in the fertile window, not drinking.. DP is the same.
If I didn't have an upcoming holiday to focus on I think I'd be going insane!

Absa · 14/10/2019 17:01

Yeh very gutting. Just so annoying not knowing what the reason is for it not happening each month. Was so positive this month, now feel deflated and in a cba mood to try again!

Kiza · 14/10/2019 17:26

@Absa totally with you on that one, you feel that you are doing everything right and it still doesn't happen. I'm trying hard not to count down the days until our fertility appointment so DP can have a second SA to see if things have improved

Absa · 14/10/2019 19:36

@Kiza how long were you trying before you first sought advice / started the ball with SA / bloods etc?

Kiza · 14/10/2019 21:18

@Absa 11 months as I knew it would take a month to get a GP appointment. In my area you can get initial bloods, SA and referral to fertility clinic after a year of trying.
I think because I'm 39 and had 2 MC also the GP was quite keen to get a move on. Luckily his wife is the fertility consultant at our local clinic so he had a little bit better knowledge than the usual GP

ValidUser · 14/10/2019 22:33

@MIW01 at least we have some kind of plan. I was dubious on the progesterone because my levels were always good.

How is everyone? If I ovulated from the left this month, we have a slim chance. Got me some the day after the positive opk.

AF due next week. Cycle 17, I think. I've actually lost count!

Absa · 15/10/2019 07:15

Thanks @Kiza for the advice.

MIW01 · 15/10/2019 09:00

@ValidUser I'm glad you have a plan and I do hope it works! Everything crossed

@orangeloo I think maybe I picked it up at a horse show but who knows! Glad it seems to have gone now

@Absa @Kiza AF due yesterday and no sign so tested today and BFN! This was expected due to illness this month but still incredibly disappointing. Just waiting for AF to arrive now Sad

Kiza · 15/10/2019 18:46

@MIW01 fingers crossed for you, you never know....

Lozzlepop · 16/10/2019 08:47

Morning ladies,

How are we all this week?

@ValidUser so are you allowed to start trying again and then when you get a bfp you start taking the innohep?

@MIW01 sorry to hear about the Campylobacter that sounds rough, are you feeling better now?

@Absa @Kiza sorry about impending AF she's a right bitch!

Well we are officially at the 6 week (+one day) wait for our referral so I really hope that it's coming soon, do you think its too early to chase up if I call them on Friday? I would just feign ignorance about knowing its a 6-8 weeks and see what they say? I just really want it to come so we can have a date in our minds that we are working towards. Apart from that OV is due in the next few days to staying away from DP 😹not bothered with OPKs this month but might do one tonight just to see where I am to ensure I can give the clinic accurate cycle dates etc.

Lit a candle last night for Wave of Light and I was surprised by how many people I know that posted too- its nice to know we are all in the journey together ❤️

XjustagirlX · 16/10/2019 10:33

So I’m 10dpo today and I think I may be able to see the faintest of faint lines. What do you ladies think?

@XjustagirlX I see it, do you have a FRER to test with?

XjustagirlX · 16/10/2019 11:15

@lozzlepop I’m so glad someone else sees it. I thought I was seeing things. I do have a frer at home. Should I test tonight or tomorrow with FMU?

Lozzlepop · 16/10/2019 11:23

No not at all, I know what its like though when the line is faint you wonder if you are imagining it! My camera is terrible too so I imagine the line is darker to you than its showing up. You probably should wait and test tomorrow, but if the line is showing on an IC it should show up on a FRER if you are testing today try and not drink to much and hold your pee for a few hours 🤞🏻

MIW01 · 16/10/2019 15:36

Thanks @Lozzlepop I think we're over it now! Fingers crossed you get the referral soon. Is ould give them a call Friday or Monday if you've not heard anything by then. Excuse my ignorance but wave of light?

And thank you @Kiza no sign of AF atm just slightly brown discolour discharge (sorry if TMI) and a migrained which is unusual cause the migraine usually comes with the bleeding not before it! Boobs feel full and hard, not sore which is also new but no colour or nipple changes that I've noticed! Just feel enormous and getting more in the way than usual! All very odd but I've said this before about other symptoms and then AF appears the next day!

Lozzlepop · 16/10/2019 16:01

@MIW01 Glad to hear you are on the mend, I have had the Norovirus before so know how rough a bad bug can be. Thank you, I am going to hold off until Friday, I have a day off so much easier to call from home than at work. Wave of light takes place at the end of Baby Loss Awareness week, you light a candle at 7pm and burn for at least an hour in memory of the babies who were too precious to be born and to signify the light they brought to our lives even for a short time ❤️When is AF due?
