Tracking Ovulation

Hello.

New member here so sorry if I'm not doing things correctly!

I've been ttc no 2 since April. Didn't really track ovulation besides cm and just normal symptoms.

Looking to track it a bit better next month (cycle 5). What do you all recommend? Are clear blue smiley things any good? If so how do you use them properly? Or what do you recommend instead?

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

I've been tracking for the first time this month (TTC cycle 3) using the thin strips - bought them off Amazon. I'm using the Premom app to log them.

CarolineKate · 18/08/2019 09:29

How have you found using them? Do you have to do it at a certain time each day? And were the results quite easy to read?

I am on my second cycle of using cb digital. You test with fmu. It gives you a blank circle, flashing smiley then static smiley face when it detects LH surge. Big downside is the price (I get the box with 20 sticks, you don't get much change out of 30 quid). But they are very easy to use and interpret.

I think that's the one I was thinking of getting! Just seems like so much to spend if it could take another year still!!

With the Amazon ones I've been testing three times a day so I don't miss my peak, as I've heard this can happen with this sort of OPK.

I like the Premom app as it reads the line for you from a photograph, so you can gauge the rise.

Ohhh that app sounds interesting!! Do you mind sending me a link to the type you got? X

Thank you! I've just ordered them. Think I'll order clearblue if I get to 6 months unsuccessful. So what times of day do you test and do you hold your pee and limit liquid intake before doing so? When should I start testing? My cycle is 27-30 days x

My cycle is 28 days so I started tracking on Day 10. I test in the morning, afternoon and evening just so I can keep track. I'll try to attach a pic here.

It's raising. You gonna meet your peak in 2 or 3 days. Keep tracking.
You don't need to track 4 times in one day.

I prefer to, as a poster on another thread told me to do it regularly. And it's actually nice to see two lines on any test, after months of pregnancy BFNs!

@CarolineKate I have bought clear blue this month for first time and wish I had been using them from month 1 they are so easy to use only have to do it once with FMU
