Long cycles

Hiya,

Just looking for any positive stories and advice!
Basically been TTC since last sept,, cycles have been long since coming off pill, around 45 days (longest 51). The last few months had been getting shorter.
Second month using opk's, last month I had positive on CD 28/29. This month been testing n had nothing until today, CD 34 n tonight have had really strong positive. (all apps had ovulation predicted for last weekend)
I'm aware it doesn't mean I'll defo be actually ovulating, as I'll be looking at a 50+ day cycle..
But just wondering if anyone has actually been ovulating and conceived with cycles this long etc?

My cycles were between 30-84 days, I found out I wasn’t ovulating.
We were doing OPKs as well as having progesterone bloods etc and the OPKs were saying I was ovulating when I wasn’t.
We ended up conceiving with clomid!

My cycles used to be around 40 days.... even my midwife didn't believe me and calculated my due date incorrectly

My cycles are now 55-60 days but I've had 2 successful pregnancies

@Rosiepup I'm interested to follow this. I have exactly the same, although my cycles have been 74, 54, 40 and predicted 40 again. I have been using OPK and get a positive about 13 days before my period.

I'm just wondering, is there any way of knowing, other than a blood test, if you are actually ovulating? I'm hoping that whilst I have long cycles, the regularity between the positives and start of period may be a good sign.

@Mycrazylife85 it's hard isnt it! I have been trying to find this out, obvs seen tempting can indicate this -but as a shift worker (inc nights) not really sure how reliable it would be as my sleep varies alot!
Have you had any tests? Been putting it off through being scared to know something might be wrong! but if AF turns up this month will have to brave it at go to the GP and get some tests as will be basically a year TTC Sad
Yeah fingers crossed we are actually ovulating just takes us a bit longer! Smile
