Ava vs Clear Blue FM

Hi all. I thought id post a review comparing the ava watch and the clear blue fertility moniter. When I was looking for TTC aids id have really appreaciated an honest review into these. So hopefully this will help someone save some pennies during their journey.

Ava Watch
Pros - does exactly what it says it'll do; moniters your physiological signs to show you your fertile window.
Cons - theres a lot I didnt like about this product. Firstly, you have to wear it every night for the most accurate results. I felt like TTC was taking over my life. The watch itself seems cheap as the watch strap is made from silicone, which doesnt make it easy to put on at night. Its also known to break easily (although that didnt happen to me). The app you have to download to use the watch is fairly glitchy and crashed once or twice on me. I had to delete it, then re-download it. The Ava Facebook Group is really a support network for those experiencing infertility issues. Thats great if thats your journey, but if not its fairly alienating. As someone new to TTC, it made everything 10 times more stressful. Its not a user support group at all, any question about the actual watch gets shut down by a group admin and the person gets told to contact customer support. The battery life isnt great. I had to charge it every 48 hrs.
Overall - really expensive for what it is and too many problems with the actual product. This product is marketed as a wonder for TTC. It doesnt guide his sperm towards the egg, it just moniters physiological signs. I wouldnt buy this if I could hop in a time machine and go back.

Clear Blue Fertility Moniter.
Pros - gives you your 'peak' 2 days. Easy to use. You only use it during your fertile window in your cycle, so right at the start and during the latter 2 weeks you dont have to test, which means TTC doesnt take over your life.
Cons - it can take the first month to learn 'you', which happened to me. I didnt get peaks in the first month, just on the second. The test sticks can be expensive, but tend to last 2 months.
Overall - I really liked this product. Simple to use and gives you clear results. Using it doesnt take over your life. Id use this again.
