I think I have thrush (I’ve never had it before so this is an educated guess) because tmi I’m feeling quite sore and itchy down below. I’ve used conceive plus for the last 5 days and I think this has caused it. I’m in the 2ww now, what can I take to clear it up? Some pessaries/ cream say they can’t be used in early pregnancy so just in case I’ve conceived, any tips on what I can use?

I’ve had awful infections before and only Canesten pessaries would shift it. Could it be possible that the TWW isn’t counted as ‘early pregnancy’ because you probably haven’t even implanted yet if indeed there was anything to implant? So if I were you, as it’s so early, I would use the medication and not worry about whether or not you have or haven’t conceived.

I had a mild UTI just after coming off the pill I told my nurse we were trying for a baby and she said the antibiotics I was given wouldnt harm an early pregnancy (I didnt get pregnant am currently 3DPO) so just ask your nurse or a pharmacist they always know but I agree that clearing up the infection is important otherwise could make DTD very tricky!

I was advised by a nurse to use natural yoghurt with no added sugar. I had the appointment for something else but she did give a prescription for the cream to use externally.

Thanks for your comments all! I went to the doctor this morning and she told me to get external cream and said that should clear it up. If not, I need to have a pessary but not use the applicator to insert it.
