8dpo, bfn but positive ovulation test??

Hi all,
dh and I are on month one ttc baby 2. Im certain im 8dpo today so did a ic this morning, I know ridiculously early, and it was a bfn, to be expected really!!
After I did the test I thought I saw a faint shadow, but holding the test at different angles i wasn't sure at all! so I thought I'd do a quick ovulation strip as even when I'm not ovulating I tend to get a faint second line, so just wanted to compare it to the pregnancy test to see where the second line should be! I'm quite sane really!!
Anyway the second line on the ovulation test is very similar colour to the test line so now I'm confused, it looks like it's a positive ovulation test, so now I've no idea when I ovulated this month, if I did at all!!
So think I'll just test again in a day or two! I'm not expecting to fall this month as it did take almost a year with baby1.
This ttc lark isn't easy is it!

Put a ring over the pregnancy test and it will focus better

Sorry I can't get much clearer! Could always try again in a day or two. I still see the shadow in certain lights, but I don't have the sharpest vision!

Give it another few days and test again.
I'm exactly same situation-8dpo and had sore boobs since Friday, and feel sick today took a test and "feel" there's a shadow but can't get it to show on camera.

I know it's early but it satisfied that urge to test 🙈

Keeping my fingers crossed for us @Michellebops nice to know there's somebody else in my position too!
I'm going to try to resist the urge to test now for a couple of days! Might ask dh to leave them in his car or something!

Yeah I resisted going to Asda to buy a frer. I've had cramps pains this afternoon and a few sharp pains in left ovary area. I did have surgery there 8 weeks ago so trying not to raise my hopes.

I googled how soon for implantation and it said average 8/12 after ovulation so now I'm hopeful these are implantation pains.

I think with dr google you could convince yourself anything you want lol.

Yes I've had similar pains today, fleeting pains, I keep thinking can it really be in my head, but who knows!

Hi @Michellebops any more new with your tests? I tested a couple of days after my first post (stupidly) and got the strongest line yet on a one step pregnancy test, but still faint. I tested yesterday and again this morning and got a faint shadow line, that's barely visable, so I'm calling it a negative. I'm sick of tests! I'm guessing if I was pregnant it was a chemical, which is a shame, but just want to bleed now so I can draw a line under it and look to next month.

I did a clearblue early detection earlier today but after a long hold and it looks like there is a blue line, very faint though. I'm approx 12 dpo so still early. One app suggests I'm due Tuesday and another Thursday.

I feel nauseous all the time and have a gurgle-y stomach but could be anything tbh.

I'm sorry if it's not your month. I feel your disappointment ❤️

@michellebops sounds promising! Will keep my fingers crossed for you! guess you just have to keep being patient and see what the week brings! I'm hoping it's your bfp!
I've started spotting now, so think af is almost here, I'm glad to put this cycle behind me and move to the next! Positive thoughts for us both!
