Can anyone help explain something for me?

To all you experienced mumsnetters, could you help me?

I had a positive clear blue ovulation test (peak) on Friday 9th August so thought that meant ovulation the next day? Or soon after.

But no egg white until today, and I thought egg white was a sign of ovulation? Lots too. Isn’t it too late according to the peak result I got on Friday? Or should we dtd again tonight?

I’ve been using Glow App too, which said high chance on Friday (presumably as I’d put in the peak result) and says low chance, 2% today.

I’m confused - does the peak result detect the LG surge and therefore ovulation imminent? So why the egg white today?

Should have added, we don’t get the chance to dtd every day/every other day so trying to pin point the best time/s!

I'm not sure about the tests but I do know it's always better to have sex the day before or a couple of days before ovulation to give you your best chances. Also fertility lubricant can help

Have you tested LH today? It's possible to have a surge and not ovulate so your body will try again.

It's normal to get egg white after ovulation too - estrogen levels naturally rise then fall then rise again - it's a sign that the uterus lining is thickening up to aid implantation to its a good sign

Is always go with what your OPK is telling you

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted Thanks, I hope you’re right. I thought I was spot on but now I’m doubting myself. The test was definitely positive on Friday (that’s the joy of the expensive ones, at least there’s no guessing if there’s a line or not, if it’s strong enough etc!)
